00:00Do you know sometimes you can see somebody or know somebody as an adult and then they do something and
00:05you go, oh that's the child, that's what they were like as a child, that's that moment.
00:09I think for these two, for my character at least, there are moments when Alan does something or says something
00:18that Corliss goes, oh that's me, that's what I was when I was a kid.
00:23And that is the thing that creates, at least for Corliss anyway, that's the thing that forges some kind of
00:30bond, that's when he knows this is my son.
00:33And all of those years of sort of trying to ignore it have been futile.
00:37So I think that is the basis for him of why he's reaching out and going, no this has to
00:43be something here.
00:43For Alan, really having seen Corliss as well from afar and also probably hearing stories and people saying that Corliss
00:54did this or he chose this or he's chosen that action, he probably has felt a kinship in regards to,
00:59yes I would do that or I would say that or I think that's a great decision on that front.
01:06However, rather than necessarily seeing it as like, oh yeah, we're the same, it almost grates Alan for it.
01:15He doesn't want to be anything like his father, he doesn't want to be anywhere associated with him anyway at
01:19the end of, you know, on season two.
01:23So it's very much like, even though we are strangers, there is this, we, well, I feel like Alan has
01:33known his father all his life.
01:34I think she represents a kind of, um, feared, ostracized feminine power.
01:43I do think like the world isn't really, still not quite accepting of like feminine power in a way that
01:52they need to kind of categorize it in different ways.
01:55And I think, you know, categorizing women as witches, um, is very, has been, you know, since the beginning of
02:02time and I don't think it's like, you know, slowed down much.
02:06And so I think, um, I think that's her, you know, that's where she kind of lives in the world.
02:12Yeah, I think it is about power.
02:14I think it's about what happens when power is delayed or when it is sought for so long.
02:21And then when it, when it arrives, it's not what you think it was going to be.
02:24I think that's what we see in season three.
02:26People have been seeking this kind of power for three seasons.
02:29And I think they've had an idea of what they would do with it when it arrived and who they
02:33would use it with.
02:35And a lot of those people are no longer here.
02:37A lot of the people that they wanted to benefit from this power have been taken from them.
02:41So now we find them in a situation where it's like power at what cost and for what?
02:46Yeah, the cost of power.
02:46Who have you got left to enjoy it with?
02:48So I think that is a massive theme of season three, the cost of it.
