Two fishermen remain missing after their boat sank during a storm 27.9 nautical miles off Kemaman on Wednesday (June 10), as search and rescue (SAR) operations entered a fourth day.

00:00A search and rescue operation is continuing for two fishermen who remain missing after their boat sank during a storm
00:06off the coast of Kemaman on Wednesday.
00:09Kemaman Maritime Zone Director Maritime Commander Abdul Halim Hamza said the search entered its fourth day on Sunday, covering more
00:17than 224 square nautical miles.
00:20However, no new leads have been found so far.
00:23The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency deployed the KM Redang vessel for the operation, while the Fire and Rescue Department provided
00:31support with an AW139 helicopter.
00:36Three local fishing boats have also joined the search effort, bringing the total number of personnel involved to 49.
00:42In the incident, a fishing boat operated by skipper Azan Muda, with crew members Nordin Mohamed and Mahadi Juso on
00:51board, sank during a storm at about 12.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
00:55Mahadi was rescued by fellow fishermen in Kemaman waters at about 10.30 a.m. the following day.
