First Keelung-Ishigaki ferry sets sail from Taiwan

Passengers board the first ferry service from the northern Taiwanese port city of Keelung to Japan’s Ishigaki Island, marking the first direct ferry route between Taiwan and Japan in 18 years and boosting tourism and regional exchanges. "As soon as we heard about the inaugural sailing.. we immediately did everything we could to book tickets," freelancer Cameron Liu tells AFP. "It's been talked about for a long time," says Cameron Liu, "once we found out it was today, we immediately did everything we could to book tickets."
