00:07Let's go.
00:30Let's go.
01:02I don't know if it's going to last.
01:03I don't know what the rest of the night is holding for us.
01:05I can feel a very, very light drizzle at the moment, but I'm going to take this moment
01:11to go ahead and at least get my tarp set up so if it does come back in hot and
01:17heavy,
01:18then I got some protection from the rain.
01:21And there comes the rain again.
01:23Let's go.
01:34Let's go.
01:40Let's go.
01:40Let's go.
02:03I am out here today doing one of my absolute favorite things.
02:07I am camping on a rainy day.
02:10The weather is chilly, overcast, it's dreary, it's rainy.
02:15It's just how I like it.
02:16Not only does camping and weather like this give you a little bit of a sense of adventure,
02:22it also means you're a lot more likely to have the place to yourself.
02:27This is going to be a fun one, but I'm going to get my tent set up.
02:29We're going to have a fire.
02:30I'm going to cook a great classic camp meal.
02:33Probably drink a couple of good beers.
02:35Just take it in, try my best not to ever take this stuff for granted, and just live in the
02:40moment.
02:41But before I do any of that, I've got to take a little nip off of the old ball, Maniflask.
02:57Goodness sakes.
02:58That's good stuff.
03:00That is the ever classic monkey shoulder.
03:03Always a classic on the channel.
03:04All right, everybody.
03:06Without further ado, let's get into it.
03:24Man, this tent is so easy to put together.
03:27I love it.
03:29Yeah, it is raining out here.
03:32It's not overly pouring coming down.
03:36It's just a little bit of drizzle, so I'm not too worried about it.
03:39It's just a lot easier to set the tent out up in the open than it is to try to
03:43set it
03:43up underneath the tarp.
03:44And then, even though that looks a little sloppy, that tent can sit there.
03:48It's totally waterproof.
03:49It's not a problem.
03:50And I will get the rest of my area situated, and then we'll move the tent under there from
03:55there.
03:56I do think I'm going to fiddle with this and move it forward just a little bit.
04:19And then, let's go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and scooch a bunch of this.
04:33Sand to one side and just try to level it out a little bit.
04:38It's not going to be perfect, but it'll just help me have a more comfortable night's sleep
04:48if I can get a little bit more level.
05:01And that's not going to be perfect, but it'll be pretty close.
05:06Okay, we just got to pull that tarp a little bit tighter on the tree, and that should be
05:11pretty good.
05:28Now, I've set up tarps, you know, literally hundreds of times.
05:33In my experience, you kind of have to fiddle with them or finagle them, whatever they say
05:41where you're from, because it never goes up exactly right, and then you just kind of make
05:47some small adjustments once it's up.
05:50But overall, I would say this isn't perfect, but it's pretty good.
05:58And it's kind of like my great-grandpa Jack used to say,
06:01Pretty good is hard to beat.
06:15Okay, so my next step here is going to be to comb the beach a little bit and see about
06:21finding some firewood.
06:23I don't think I'm going to have a hard time finding the firewood, but everything is going
06:29to be wet, and I might have a little bit of a challenge with getting a fire started.
06:37It is raining.
06:38It's drizzling.
06:39So, I've got a couple of different ways to start a fire, and, you know, no matter what,
06:47I'm pretty sure things will work out okay.
06:49After all, I'm saying bananas.
07:06Thank you to many people.
07:25All right, so I'm not quite ready to get my fire started, so I think I might as well
07:34go ahead and start with getting my bedding set up.
07:41Now, people ask me about my gear all the time.
07:45I'm not perfect about it, but typically I put links in the description.
07:51If there's something that you don't see in there, leave me a comment, and I'll try to get that updated
07:55for you.
08:00I've been rocking this quilt, and this quilt has these little straps, and you just wrap these around the sleeping
08:09pad.
08:09Then I'm using my puffy coat as a pillow, and I'm going to do our fire right about here.
08:19So I'll just get this little fire pit dug out, and that'll be, again, easy to put back tomorrow.
08:27But also, it'll keep our fire contained for us.
08:46Well, in a little bit of a change of events here, the rain seems to have really lightened up.
08:54Pretty much stopped.
08:56The sun is even poking its head out.
08:59This is only supposed to last for a minute, but it's kind of brightened up out here.
09:04Almost bright enough for me to bust these guys out.
09:07I got these nifty new sunglasses from a place called Warby Parker.
09:13These are actually prescription lenses, and I am slightly nearsighted, but I usually just tough it out.
09:19Now, you guys might know Warby Parker, but you may not know that they actually make sports frames.
09:25I chose this specific pair because I felt like they would go really well with my kind of camping and
09:30outdoor lifestyle.
09:31Whether I'm out on a backpacking trip, doing a canoe trip, out for a morning jog, or just running errands,
09:38these are actually Italian-made nylon frames that are built for movement,
09:43meaning they're incredibly lightweight, flexible, and they actually stay put on your face.
09:47Especially if you've got to rock out when a good tune comes on.
09:52So what I really love about these sunglasses is that they are engineered for performance,
09:56but they're designed for a style that suits everyday life.
10:00You get tech features like hidden spring hinges, rubber grip pads so they don't slip when you sweat,
10:05and a subtle wraparound shape that still leaves you looking sharp.
10:09Plus, getting them is incredibly easy.
10:11You can browse and order everything online with a simple checkout and delivery,
10:14or you can visit one of their hundreds of stores across the United States and Canada for in-store styling.
10:20The best part? Complete prescription glasses start at $95.
10:23Shipping and 30-day returns are completely free, and you can even use your vision insurance.
10:28They also have a buy-a-pair, give-a-pair program,
10:31so every single purchase helps someone in need receive vision care.
10:35If you want to upgrade your everyday eyewear,
10:37check out the link in the description box below so that you can explore this exact pair, or lots of
10:42others.
10:42Thank you so much to Warby Parker for sponsoring this video and helping to keep me seen clear on my
10:47adventures.
10:48All right, everybody, let's get back into the action.
10:52Oh boy, here comes that rain again.
11:08So from here, I just really need to get a nice bed of coals established,
11:12which means I've got to build up reasonably a large amount of burnt wood and fire and stuff,
11:17so I'm just going to keep feeding it for a while, and we'll take it from there.
11:37Yeah, I mean, in my opinion, this is just nothing to be worried about.
11:45But just a little bit of drizzle like this scares people off, makes them stay home.
11:51I don't blame them, but I also don't mind having a place to myself.
12:14Okay, so right now I'm just letting my fire die down, so I've got some good coals,
12:19and that'll be great for me to cook on.
12:22I don't have a ton of time left before it gets dark, so we're probably going to do a little
12:27night hike
12:29because if you're new to the channel, then there is something down this way that I'd love to show you.
12:36Even if you've been watching the channel for a while, you may not have seen an episode
12:40where I explored a little interesting thing that's down this way,
12:43but I'm going to do that night hike later.
12:45I'm going to cook my food in a little bit, maybe having a couple more beers.
12:49But before I do any of that...
12:50Oh, wait a minute.
12:51I already did that part, didn't I?
12:53Oh, well.
13:18All right, I got my fire stoked back up, so we'll make that bed of coals.
13:23Even just a little bit bigger.
13:25The rain is still pitter-pattering away.
13:28I just love this weather so much, and it's time to start prepping for dinner.
14:19All right.
14:21I've got my toasted tortillas.
14:25I've got a big pile of...
14:26It's the smallest onion I can find.
14:28I'm not going to use all that, unfortunately, but...
14:32I've got my toasted roasted sausages, so I put that there.
14:37I've got a healthy amount of onions because I won't have another opportunity to eat these.
14:44I'll try to take these home if I can.
14:46Secret ingredient.
14:48You know we've got to do it.
14:53Boy, oh, boy.
14:55Does that look good or what?
14:57Sausage taco.
14:59A hot dog taco, whatever you want to call it.
15:01Number one.
15:06Mmm.
15:10Mmm.
15:11That is good.
15:12I almost forgot about this.
15:13How could I forget about that?
15:16How in the world could I forget about that?
15:18That's crazy.
15:20A little dash.
15:25We really need a proper...
15:27Okay.
15:28Let's just get this one down.
15:29Come on, baby.
15:34Mmm.
15:36Okay.
15:38Let's do it.
15:44Look at that.
15:46Look at that.
16:01Mmm.
16:03Mmm.
16:05Mmm.
16:07Mmm.
16:12Good low.
16:14We've got to open this up.
16:15If you're new to the channel, welcome to the channel.
16:17If you've been around for a while, then you know San Bananas is a fan of the Che Lada,
16:22which is tomato juice, salt, and lime mixed with beer, usually a lager.
16:27I typically do the Modelo version, but I decided to mix it up tonight and do the Bud Light.
16:35The Bud Light Che Lada has Clamato in it.
16:41Cheers.
16:48Mmm.
16:49That is fantastic.
16:57I can't believe it is still raining.
17:00It's still drizzling.
17:01Can you hear it?
17:02Onion on that side.
17:03Onion on that side.
17:04Now we got it now.
17:06You know we got it now.
17:08How are we looking now?
17:11Woo-wee.
17:12I'm a little off-center.
17:14I don't know if you can tell, but there's definitely a slant.
17:17I tried off-camera.
17:19I tried evening this ground out a little bit, but I'm still leaning back this way.
17:28Mmm.
17:31Mmm.
17:33Now I'm not in an area where there are bears.
17:36Otherwise I wouldn't typically be doing stuff like this.
17:41Because it's inevitable that you're going to leave a morsel around.
17:46However, there are mice and raccoons.
17:48And you really don't want those things coming around your camp.
17:51So if you can, it's a really, really good idea to try to be as cleanly as possible with
17:55your eating.
17:57Mmm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.
18:01Woo!
18:01We are rockin' and rollin'.
18:03That's what I call partin'.
18:04We're having a camping party.
18:20That is sauced up, baby.
18:40Oh, okay.
18:42Our barbecue mukbang is almost over for the day.
18:45Last one, baby.
18:46Last one.
18:52That is really good.
18:55That one really hit the spot.
18:57A little bit of kick from that fire sauce.
19:00And then we got that tangy kind of Arby's sauce going.
19:04This is good, baby.
19:13Good Lord.
19:18Good Lord.
19:40all right well I am in bed here I'm really warm this is actually really comfortable
19:46I've got something down the beach that I really really want to show you guys it's a really cool
19:53structure it's actually a place that I camped at a long time ago but at that time I was filming
20:01exclusively on my cell phone I didn't have like a cool camera or a drone or anything neat and I
20:08think I could make a way better video if I went down there so in the morning I want to
20:13take you
20:13guys down to this place but I think it would be better to show it to you when it's daylight
20:18outside
20:19and you can really see it and then I want to hear from you do you want to see a
20:23camp in this place
20:24or not I'm going to hit the hay I'll see you in the morning good night everybody
20:51so
20:57so
20:58so
20:59so
21:00so
21:06so
21:08Take it seriously, it's a big sale.
21:16It's only a single sale, so I'm going to charge you.
21:19That's my favorite.
21:20You're too small.
21:31But you can only use a lot of material snacks,
21:32so you can use a lot of material snacks.
21:33No sauce, so you can use it.
21:37It's amazing to use some kind of materials.
21:51It's strawberries, bananas, and sliced almonds.
22:04It's delicious.
22:05It's delicious.
22:07It's delicious.
22:09It's delicious.
22:27All right, well, I said I was going to take you down and show you this site, this thing,
22:34down the way here.
22:36It's a little structure that I camped in once before, thinking about doing another camp since
22:41I've got a lot more upgraded camera equipment now.
22:47Yeah, let's head down the beach and I'll give you a little show of what we got down there.
23:00Okay, well, here it is.
23:03It's a little party shack.
23:06Looks like people have come back and kind of added to it.
23:13It's an interesting, interesting situation.
23:20There is a lot of cans and various things up here.
23:26Maybe this place could use a little bit of a clean up.
23:29To kind of show you the interior here, there is a fire pit there.
23:34It's pretty functional.
23:35And then some stumps that you can just sort of sit on.
23:39Of course, they got these big walls that they sort of built up here.
23:44Pretty slick.
23:45It's a nice view.
23:46Someone else's, this is new since I've been here.
23:50Someone's added another wall and looks like there's a little kid's slide that they used
23:55for part of it.
23:57And of course, we got these blue stairs that have been here for a long time.
24:03Underneath, we've got a bunch of cans and also just some garbage that could probably stand
24:11to be picked up.
24:14But yeah, this is pretty cool.
24:17This is pretty neat.
24:20If you want to see me come back and camp in this party shack and kind of do a part
24:29two,
24:30I did one, you know, like I said, I did one years ago and didn't have the camera equipment
24:37and stuff that I have now.
24:38So I think it would be neat to come back here and try to do this again for a second
24:44time.
24:44So if you're interested, let me know in the comments.
24:46If enough people say something, then I'll definitely come back and do it.
24:53Okay, well, that was a fun one.
24:56It's always a good time to get out here on the beach, enjoy some nature.
25:01Yeah, just kind of immerse yourself and get away from the hustle and the bustle.
25:06But yeah, it's back to regularly scheduled life for sand bananas here.
25:13That was a fun one.
25:14I really enjoyed that one.
25:16I hope you did too.
25:17Big, big shout out to each and every one of you.
25:19You all make it possible for me to do this.
25:20If you like what you saw today and you want to see more,
25:23I would greatly appreciate it if you would.
25:24Click that banana.
25:28We're gonna catch you on the next one, everybody.
25:31Bye now.
