00:45So I'm Lauren. I single hand my boat and we're in the same spot and I'm headed over to St.
00:51John for the weekend, the week.
00:53So I invited Jaden on because why not? And it's fun to have two girls together and have a good
00:59time.

01:0350 foot monohull. And she controls it all by herself. So it's super inspiring, super cool. We get to see

01:21So Lauren's upping anchor right now and we're just about to sail to St. John, which is like an hour
01:27away.
01:27And there's like a reggae festival there tonight in the next couple of days. So I'm excited to see what
01:34that's gonna look like.

01:47Okay. So I have it wrapped a lot extra just because there's so much room.

02:20So we're just coming into our mooring field and I'm gonna help her grab a mooring ball.
02:27She does this alone, which is insane because you have to use this boat hook to grab a ball which
02:33holds your boat kind of like an anchor.
02:35And it's just crazy to me that she does this all by herself.
03:07So St. John is one of my favorite islands in the whole Caribbean. It just has really good hiking, super
03:14blue water.
03:15And yeah, I'm really excited for the next few days diving and just being with Lauren.
03:36So we're gonna do a little tour of the boat while Jaden's here.
03:39I have a dual helm monohull. So everything steering wise is back here.
03:46Yeah. So then we'll move forward. I have all the winches.

03:50Like everything to operate the sails comes back here, which makes it great for single handling.
03:55Yeah. And then if Jaden turns around, I have my davit system, a hydro vane and tons of solar back
04:04here.
04:04Yeah. This is all the solar, which powers your whole boat, right?
04:09Yeah. So I have 1600 watts of solar.
04:12Okay. So you come down these stairs and then this is the main living area of my boat.
04:19So technically this is called the galley kitchen.
04:24I have top loading fridge and freezer. Just throwing it out there.
04:27If you're a monohull person, don't change them out. Whenever you're assailed and keeled over, nothing falls out of the
04:33fridge.
04:34Yeah. It's great.
04:36Like this goes all the way down to the floor.
04:38Wow. That is beautiful. It's like all fruits and vegetables. It goes all the way down to the floor.

04:54A lot of monohulls have their engines under the stairs, but mine's here and it's actually a really great access.

05:23With this toilet, you have to use this and pump out all of your waste.

05:32That is one thing that I would change about my next boat is cause these are wet heads.
05:36So you shower in them.
05:37It's a pump toilet and to have a separate shower and electric toilet is really nice.

05:47And then it's also my laundry room and this bathroom.

05:51And then coming forward is my room.
05:54The floor's open cause the water maker's been on.
05:57But yeah, this is just her bed.
05:58So this used to be two rooms. So there used to be a wall here.

06:02And so now it's one bed.
06:04That's so cool.
06:04And then just, she has a bathroom closet.
06:08So coming forward, I actually have to show you this deck.
06:10I did this deck.
06:11I had it made by Deck It about a year and a half ago.

06:15And it's holding up great.
06:16Highly recommend if you ever want to do that.
06:18It's so squishy.
06:19Yeah.
06:20And comfortable on the feet.
06:21It's so nice.
06:21And it doesn't get hot during the day.

06:23One thing I chose with my boat was having a rolling furling main.
06:28Where it rolls inside the mast, right?
06:31Yeah, so this will just roll out and roll in.

06:34I chose it for single handling.
06:36The boat came with it.
06:38There's controversy on it, but I haven't had any issues with it at all.
06:42Sometimes they can get stuck, right?
06:44Yeah.
06:44And then like, so once the sail gets older, it can get a little harder.

06:47As long as you're aware of that.
06:48Yeah.
06:48And then we just tied up, so the bridle's on this hatch.
06:51But in this hatch used to be a fifth crew room, but now it's just tons of storage.
06:56So then you would have four.
06:58So I used to have five rooms.

07:13So it's about 1.30 and there's some reef over by the island right there.
07:18So we're just going to go for a dive and see what we can find.

08:45So we ended up going on a long and rough dinghy ride with some other boat friends to a town

08:52From there we took a safari taxi bus up the hill to where the concert was at
08:58It was so beautiful watching the sunset and all our boats down below in the bay
09:11I was not expecting the reggae concert to be as fun as it was
09:16But the people who performed were absolutely outstanding

13:21But Lauren's cat is on a different level

13:35Every night usually
13:37And it is the coolest thing to watch
13:40A cat jump after a ball
13:42And go get it and bring it back
13:43It's just not normal
13:44Everyone falls in love with her cat
