00:00This is the BMC T-Machine 01 Amp and it is the lightest e-road bike that I've
00:06ever ridden. It weighs 9.4 kilos and it's a lot of the reason why I'm traveling up
00:11this Swiss mountain as fast as a pro. So let me run you through some stats.
00:16Despite weighing less than most analog road bikes you'll find a TQ Systems HPR
00:2140 mid-drive motor hiding in the bottom bracket and that can provide up to 200
00:26watts of assistance. Now BMC says that that should make your power to weight
00:31around 160 percent better. Of course just by looking at it you can probably tell
00:36this is based very heavily on BMC's T-Machine SLR and that means a frame
00:42weight of just 700 grand. In the down tube hiding there's a 300 watt hour battery
00:48you can also extend that with a range extender which fits into one of these
00:53bottle cages. Now I can keep an eye on the range using this little display on the
00:57top tube. So currently I'm in mid mode but then with a touch of the Di2 buttons I
01:04can go up to turbo mode. I've got 80% charge left so that should be more than
01:08enough for this 50k ride.
