00:00Welcome to Australia's best beach, crystal clear blue water and the whitest sand.
00:04But what if we go find somewhere even better?
00:07It's only going to take five hours of solo four driving, a lot of corrugation and absolutely nobody around.
00:13Stick around to see where I end up and if it was all worth it in the end.
00:16This track is 175 kilometers long.
00:19This could take a little while.
00:23Alright, let's do it.
00:26I can't believe I've just nagged this.
00:33Hey guys, welcome back to another episode.
00:37So this one is a very fun one because we are about to go to Australia's best beach.
00:41Now I know that is a very big call and it's obviously open to people's opinions and interpretation of what
00:46you would call the best beach.
00:47But I feel like if you ask everyone in Oz, I reckon 90% of them would probably say that
00:53Esperance in Western Australia is Australia's nicest beach.
00:55It's really white sand, really blue water and I just feel like it has that name.
01:00So, we are going to head there.
01:01Well, we're going to head close to there.
01:03Basically, it's Saturday today.
01:04It's around Christmas time and Australia's best beach is going to be very busy at that time, I'm assuming.
01:10So, I'm going to take a four-wheel drive track.
01:12I'm basically off the Nullarbor now.
01:14I'm going to take this track all the way down towards Esperance.
01:18It's basically the same coastline but it's just next to it to a national park called Cape Arid National Park.
01:23And I've never done this track.
01:25I've never gone to this national park and I'll show you guys Esperance as well.
01:28But I'm hoping that it might be less busy.
01:30It's still going to be just as beautiful and I'll actually be able to have a camp spot because I
01:34haven't booked anything yet.
01:36Anyway, we're going to jump in, start the adventure and see what the day brings.
01:52Okay, I'm just looking at this map.
01:54Apparently, this track is 175 kilometers long and it did rain last night and that sign did just say it's
02:00impassable when it's wet.
02:02But that sun has a lot of kick to it so I'm hoping it's probably dried up by now.
02:05So, this could take a little while.
02:09Alright, let's do it.
02:39So far, the track is pretty good.
02:41There's just a few little sections like this that are a bit rutted out and a bit of corrugation which
02:45is making it a little bit more slow going.
02:47But overall, so far, so good.
03:16So, let's do it.
03:48So, let's do it.
03:49It's been about 40 kms an hour for quite some time now.
03:51I'm actually thinking I'm going to chuck all four tyres down a bit just to make it a little bit
03:55smoother and I'll be able to drive a little bit quicker as well.
04:13This is driving a lot better now.
04:15I'm going to chuckle.
04:25I'm going to chuckle.
04:27I'm going to chuckle.
04:29Heart from the blues out in the dirt
04:35Down in the dirt
04:54I've been real bad, boy
04:57On the town all night
05:00Starting to calm down
05:02Till the morning that I'm in the dirt
05:08Down in the dirt
05:14I absolutely love getting the drone up
05:16And seeing just how remote I am
05:17When I'm out on tracks like this
05:18I find this so extremely fun
05:21Obviously I have been doing this for a few years
05:23So I feel very confident going out full
05:25Driving by myself, going on outback tracks
05:27But I do have safety measures in place
05:29I've got Starlink
05:31So I have internet if I wanted to turn it on
05:33Which means if anything happened to the car
05:35That I wasn't sure of
05:36I can YouTube how to fix it
05:37Or I can phone a friend
05:39But if anything more serious was to happen
05:41I do have a GME EPIRB that I can pull
05:43Which gives it my exact location
05:46And I would have emergency services come get me
05:49Which obviously is the worst case scenario
05:51It is handy carrying one of them just in case
05:54And it does make me feel a lot better
05:55But I don't really think about the worst case situation
05:58That can happen in anything in my life
06:00I feel like that's a bad way to live
06:02And it would prevent you from doing the things
06:04That make you happy
06:05Which is this
06:05But I am very cautious
06:07I am very safe with everything that I do
06:09And I am confident being out here by myself
06:12I am very safe with everything that I do
06:57I did not see one single other car
06:59That whole track or the last few hours
07:01It actually took quite a fair while to get here
07:03But we are finally in the National Park
07:06And I have been driving past a few different campgrounds
07:08And some of the trucks are actually shut
07:09I am on the side of the National Park
07:11That is four wheel drive only
07:12And I have done that obviously
07:13Because I reckon the Richmond side will be a lot more busy
07:16But I found a track
07:17So we are going to drive down this
07:18And finally get to the beach
07:39So we are going to drive down this
07:57So we are going to drive down this
08:24Um, no one is here
08:28What?
08:29I don't understand that
08:30That is not enough of a reason to buy a four wheel drive
08:33I don't know what will be
08:35It is a Saturday
08:37And that whole campground had nobody in it
08:41That is wild
08:42I really really thought
08:44That I was going to have to share campground tonight
08:46But nah, left out again
08:48And this beach
08:49And that beach back there
08:50Where the campground in is
08:51Absolutely beautiful
08:52It does look quite similar to
08:54The one in Esperance
08:55Lucky Bay
08:55Which I will show you guys tomorrow
08:57I can't believe I've just snagged this
09:00That's crazy
09:18I can't believe I've just snagged this
09:36I will set up camp a little bit later I reckon first things first we better go
09:39check out our own private beach emu prince
10:26I will set up camp a little bit later I will set up camp a little bit later
10:30and I will set up camp for the beach as well
10:39i do have some friends camping with me
10:45i did just get back to camp i was chilling out on the chair and i could hear some rustling
10:48in
10:48the bushes but i didn't really think too much of it because we saw those wallabies just before so
10:52i thought it must be them and then i look up and it was a huge snake and to be
10:57completely honest i
10:58don't really see too many snakes in my travels i see them sometimes quickly scurry across the road
11:02and then they go straight into the bush but i don't really see them in my environment so that
11:06was actually really cool
11:26it is dinner time and lucky that i have so much fish in my freezer because i have like no
11:31food when you
11:32cross the western australia south australian border you do have to give over all your fruits veg
11:36honey seeds just all your fresh produce and i haven't gone past shops in a very very long time
11:41so fish for dinner it is
11:51my favorite way to cook this is really slow in garlic and butter
12:03i actually am a little nervous to sit on this bench now from that snake but dinner
12:07is served it looks very plain but what do i do it's this all cereal so fish it is
12:14okay
13:44Good morning, guys.
13:46When I got the drone up this morning, that was when I first woke up and that was at 6
13:49.15am.
13:50Tell me why that looked like it was the middle of the day.
13:52It gets light so early here, well before 5 o'clock.
13:55I did go for a walk along the beach, listened to music.
13:58I've done Pilates, had a shower, had a coffee.
14:01I've had a productive morning.
14:02A few of you guys actually do ask what I do to try and stay fit on the road.
14:06And I do Pilates pretty much every single day.
14:08Just like a 30-minute class off YouTube and I do a lot of walking or running.
14:12Mainly walking at the moment though, to be completely honest.
14:14But I'm not really keen to video any of that.
14:16That's just something that I do for myself to start the day.
14:19Now, I'm just going to finish packing up.
14:22We're going to jump in, get going, check out a few more beaches in this national park.
14:26And then we'll make our way towards Esperance and Lucky Bay.
16:18It is actually very windy today.
16:20I'm just hiding behind the car.
16:22But we have arrived at Dolphin Cove.
17:19All four tyres are back up because we are about to go on the bitch men.
17:22So let's head to the next location.
18:08It is blowing an absolute gale out there.
18:11So I thought I'd better chat to you guys in the car.
18:13I actually did just do a pretty big detour.
18:14I went into Esperance itself, did a quick food shop because they have a Woolies there and it shuts at
18:18four.
18:19So I was going to miss it.
18:20So I was going to miss it and I need food and then I've come back out and now we've
18:23arrived at Lucky Bay, which is what I was telling you guys.
18:26It's the number one beach in Australia.
18:27I guess what most people would say.
18:29And genuinely, it is absolutely beautiful.
18:33I'll give you guys a close look in a second.
18:35But with that being said, the campground is fully booked.
18:37There's so many people on the beach and I counted 15 cars.
18:40So I don't know.
18:42What do you guys reckon?
18:43Is the beach that we're at, which is the same coastline, but we had it all to ourself better?
18:47Or is this one?
18:48Because the landscape probably is nicer here.
19:42And now for the lucky last spot of the day, which is Hellfire Bay.
20:10And that will now wrap up this adventure.
20:12Such a beautiful region of the country.
20:14I've really enjoyed this adventure and I hope that you guys did too.
20:16So thank you very much for watching.
20:18I do need to go find somewhere to sleep, so I cannot wait to see you guys in the next
20:22one.
20:24Thank you very much.
20:25So I'll see you guys in the next one.
20:26Oh, good by now.
20:33Bye.
20:34Bye.
20:34Bye.
