00:00This video is for makeup beginners. If you're not a makeup beginner, keep scrolling.
00:03We're gonna go over something that's super confusing for a lot of people.
00:06Foundation, concealer, and powder.
00:08Most people start with foundation.
00:10If you're washing your face and applying this immediately, you already messed up.
00:13You have to have some kind of skin prep.
00:16So I use a moisturizer and then my SPF.
00:18Make sure to apply some moisturizer under your eyes as well.
00:21Or eye cream, whatever you like.
00:22Apply one pump to the back of your hand.
00:25You can use a brush or a sponge to apply, both are correct.
00:27We're gonna pick up some product and you're going to start applying it to the center of your face.
00:32Usually the center of your face needs the most coverage.
00:35With a brush, you're going to do little downward painting motions.
00:38I'm going around my under eye area because this is where I'm gonna apply concealer.
00:42Make sure to bring the foundation down your neck to blend everything seamlessly.
00:46And I need the least coverage on my forehead, so with whatever's left on my brush, I'm going to apply
00:51some there.
00:51You want to start off with one pump and then add more if you need to.
00:55On this set, I'm going to show you with a beauty blender.
00:57I personally prefer a brush because I feel like it absorbs less product than a blender.
01:02I think a beauty blender will give you a more natural finish.
01:06This is beauty blender, this is brush.
01:08I did my cream blush and bronzer off camera.
01:10If you want a tutorial on this, let me know.
01:12But now it's time for concealer.
01:13A concealer is like a super concentrated foundation.
01:16So I'm going to apply this on any spots the foundation didn't get.
01:20Any really dark acne spots and redness around my nose.
01:23I want this to blend seamlessly in with my foundation, so I'm taking the same brush I used for my
01:29foundation.
01:29You can see how well that covered everything.
01:32I'm also using this to cover up my dark circles.
01:35I like to focus it on the darkest part of my under eyes.
01:38To blend this out, again, you can use a sponge or a brush.
01:40You just want to do little tapping motions.
01:42Do not drag.
01:43For the outer corner, I'm going to angle it upwards.
01:46This just works to kind of lift the face.
01:48Okay, now everything is covered.
01:50My face looks flawless and I'm ready to go.
01:52Wrong.
01:52If you leave your house like this, your makeup will not last.
01:55You have to set all your work with powder.
01:57You can use a loose powder.
01:59I love this one by Huda Beauty.
02:00Or a pressed powder.
02:01I love this one by NYX.
02:03Either one works, but I'm going to be using my loose powder today.
02:06I like to start setting with the most important part, which is the under eyes.
02:09You can see without powder, my concealer is already creasing.
02:12I'm taking one of these little powder puffs and I'm going to pick up some powder.
02:16Tap off the excess on the back of your hand.
02:18Right before applying it to my under eyes, I'm going to blend out all those creases.
02:22You want this under eye area as smooth as possible before setting it with powder.
02:26I'm going to apply my powder with little tapping motions.
02:29I'm going to set the rest of my face the same way.
02:32Tapping off the excess of powder prevents any cakey look.
02:35This side is set with powder, while this side is not.
02:38Powder mattifies that oily look and is going to keep your makeup on for hours and hours.
02:43This is the final result.
02:44I hope this was helpful.
