00:00Knowing that you were only the seventh black woman to be casted on SNL, there was a bit of a
00:07legacy, I think, that you left there, too.
00:09Did you think about that, like, going into it, leaving?
00:12I definitely thought about representing for black women on the show, and I was excited to do that and honored
00:17to do that.
00:19And leaving this show, I'm like, there are so many talented black women out there who do comedy.
00:23So, I also think, for me, it felt important to be like, oh, let me represent while I can, while
00:31I feel like I have ideas, where I'm energized.
00:33And so, there's so many talented black women out there who are so funny, and to create a space where
00:39I, like, got to do characters and got to showcase some of my sensibilities, and then create, as you say,
00:46a legacy, which I'm very grateful for.
