A case involving a murder plot has been uncovered by police. On March 13, while returning from Hukkeri Jatra, an accident occurred in which Sumapati Sandip suffered minor injuries. Instead of seeking proper treatment, poison was allegedly administered. By evening, blood pressure dropped and the victim passed away. The case, which had been closed, was later cracked open by police. It emerged that after Sandip's death, there was a dispute between Suma and Pundalik over money matters. Pundalik had allegedly threatened Suma demanding money. Suma confessed to committing the murder along with Pundalik. Three months after the funeral, the buried body was exhumed as part of the investigation. The case involved an insurance claim of 2 crore rupees, and the husband allegedly staged a drama to cover up the crime.
