00:00Hello, I'm Alper Şahin from Kadir Asya University, and I'm the International Office Manager.
00:04Kadir Asya University is one of the top 800 universities in the world.
00:08It is also the 7th best private university in Türkiye.
00:11Ranked 5th among private universities.
00:13We have approximately 5000 students in total.
00:1620% of them are foreign students, meaning international students.
00:21The language of instruction is entirely English.
00:23What we generally prioritize is not admitting a large number of students,
00:27The contributions that our students make to Kadir Asya University are very important in this sense.
00:33The quality of our instructors is another crucial point for us as well.
00:36All of our professors graduated from America and England.
00:39Instructors who have completed their associate professor and professorship qualifications.
00:42That's why, as I said, we're not focusing on the numbers.
00:45What's important for us here is that the students are doing well.
00:49They need to know exactly where and what kind of education they will receive.
00:52In this sense, we are actually their companions on this journey.
00:55Kadir Asya University has very easy application requirements.
00:57Students only need to have their high school diploma, high school transcript, and passport.
01:01After they submit their applications, we send them their offers within 24 hours.
01:07In this way, we try to support our students as much as possible.
01:10Incidentally, Kadir Asya University is located in one of the most valuable areas of Istanbul.
01:14Sultanahmet, which we call old Istanbul, is near Taksim, on the shores of the Golden Horn.
01:18An old tobacco factory.
01:19It's a highly uniquely designed factory, or rather, a private school, a university actually.
01:25Being a student at Kadir Asya University is a privilege.
01:27After graduating from Kadir Asya University, we offer numerous opportunities in terms of job prospects, master's degrees, doctorates, and more.
01:34In this sense, Kadir Asya University actually has business partners such as industry, factories, etc.
01:38It's a very serious undertaking; we work with over a thousand companies, we have subsidiaries, and we have business partnerships.
01:44These students can apply here through our career center and meet the necessary conditions.
01:50We are doing everything we can to support them in this regard, providing them with both internship opportunities and job prospects after graduation.
01:56In fact, this is what differentiates us from other universities.
01:59As I said, according to Times High Education, one of the world's most reliable and respected ranking companies, we are ranked very well.
02:08And that's not enough.
02:10In addition, in this sense, we offer our students a project-based education system.
02:15What is this project-based education system?
02:17It's an unconventional method, not just one based on rote memorization.
02:21We are essentially enabling students to improve their practical skills and develop themselves through different experiences and projects instead of exams.
02:31Times High Education and QS Ranking are actually the two most important ranking companies in the world.
02:35We entered this ranking in Dığ last year.
02:39This ranking considers the quality of your university's professors, the education your students receive, and many other evaluation criteria.
02:47When you add all of these together, these are the numbers you get.
02:50We are not providing these.
02:52It is actually provided by this reputable international rating agency.
02:57So, as I said, this is actually a significant selling point for us.
03:01We have our own technopark. In this technopark, we have opportunities for entrepreneurial students, students who have recently graduated from our university, or students with new ideas.
03:09We are offering an opportunity.
03:10This technology park is very serious. It also receives very significant investment. We actually conduct our collaborations through this technology park.
03:16Let's say we have a student who has graduated, or a student who has their own idea.
03:19By directing them to the Technopark, the student's ideas are analyzed there, to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
03:25In this sense, it creates a roadmap for the student.
03:27So, if you are an entrepreneur and looking for an opportunity here, we support these through our university and our own technopark.
03:34Regarding artificial intelligence, we want to open our artificial intelligence department this year.
03:37We've actually already submitted our application.
03:39My guess is that our artificial intelligence department will also open next year, in 2027-2028.
03:43I believe, as I said, that by integrating this with artificial intelligence and with the technology park, we will seize much more significant opportunities.
03:50Kadir As's educational diploma is recognized worldwide.
03:52We already have Erasmus Exchange agreements with around 200 countries.
03:56After receiving their diploma, students can travel to any country they wish with peace of mind, including Germany.
04:02In all fields except law, the chances of finding a job are high, either in the country of origin or the country to which one is going.
04:07We offer the following opportunities to Turkish students in Europe, particularly in Germany.
04:10We have specific scholarship rates that we determine. We award these scholarships based on certain criteria.
04:14We provide students with grades, transcripts, English proficiency levels, and SAT scores.
04:19But we accept about 15-20 students from Germany every year.
04:23When acquiring and evaluating these resources, we are essentially trying to understand why students come to Kadir As, and why they should be in Türkiye.
04:30We also give more scholarships than the normal rates to students who are genuinely interested in studying and building a career path for themselves here.
04:39We can offer scholarships.
04:40Therefore, all of our students in Germany actually have a much better chance of studying at Kadir As.
04:45Absolutely, our students have a right to accommodation.
04:48We're not just inviting our students, that is, those seeking education, to study here.
04:51We need to support them throughout their education as well.
04:54Yes, Istanbul is very crowded, yes the population is very large, yes the population density is very high.
04:58But we have our own homeland, and outside of our own homeland, we have agreements with other countries.
05:03We can also direct our students to dormitories with which we have agreements, as long as we are sure of their safety.
05:08We have no problems with accommodation or lodging.
05:11That's why, as I said, after applying to Kadir As University once or twice, we also inform the families of the students we embark on this journey with.
05:16We also provide them with full support for 4 or 5 years.
