00:50XJ a 90s Jeep I built out the back and I slept in that by myself and I traveled out

00:56great it was grand there was a lot of repairs that needed to be happening all the time and then

01:01second one was a truck camper that took a whole summer to reconstruct and even then it was a piece
01:07of poo like that thing I'm very grateful it gave me a lot of memories and taught me a lot

01:14things very creatively now we are going to go for an in-between of the two and find a tent
01:21box and a
01:22rack for my truck it's taken a little bit longer than I would have liked because shipping and also
01:26just the affordability of things and I just wasn't sure what rig would work for me because I don't know
01:33it unless I try it so we're going to try a rooftop tent I've been very interested in these for
01:37a while
01:38this is a budget build so it's nothing extravagant it's not one of those cool over landing rigs that
01:44you see all over YouTube it's just what I can do at the moment I just came back from Costa
01:48Rica
01:49completing my 200 hour yoga training and I don't have much of a budget left but I really want to
01:53take this time to be intentional this solo life this is my life and I want to make it as
02:01good as
02:01possible my dog and I the rack should be coming today I don't know how to put this on my
02:05truck
02:06I did a lot of research of trying to find one that would be good for my 6.5 length

02:13going to be able to have anything in my bed that can't be rained on because I don't have anything
02:21to do that at the moment I ordered a Rubbermaid waterproof box for the storage I still need to get
02:28a stove and some other little things here and there I do have a wish list if you want to

02:37really soon but I have to wait for my rooftop tent to get here that I just ordered yesterday

03:07won't come for my birthday but I ordered a paddleboard now I got the cheapest one because I am a
03:12beginner so I want to teach Oxford a paddleboard and I also want a paddleboard my goal is to get
03:17out to Washington or whatever but it's going to take a long time to get there especially with gas prices
03:21so we're just going to mosey we're not going to rush anything and I want a paddleboard along the way
03:26maybe do yoga on the paddleboard I don't know that's kind of my goal here that is quite a big

03:38the mall because I got I had a gift card and so I cheated myself I don't know who sent

03:44but I was really grateful to have a little birthday makeup and once I got home I realized that my

03:51is here so it is hook off-road four by four I mean it's heavy I can't lift it I

03:59going to get this in the truck oh god okay yeah this is really heavy
04:05there's no way I'm lifting this this is the problem with this kind of stuff and why I get anxious
04:11intimidated because I need help sometimes you know like I can't actually lift certain things
04:16or have the strength to do it it's not that I don't have the mind it's the power human power
04:22to do it got this from ebay is about four hundred dollars definitely cheaper than some of the other
04:27ones
04:41we unboxed doesn't look too complicated it's really really heavy it's probably like
04:45I don't know 200 pounds so we're gonna try and put this together today and see what happens
04:51but I think it'll look really cool on my truck
05:14this isn't gonna be very aerodynamic
05:23so we came across a problem of course and it's quite devastating because
05:30there's always so many things you have to consider when you do things like this
05:33you need a truck bed rail system it said that this fixed on factory truck beds but you need a
05:39rail
05:40system and apparently mine doesn't have one so this is incompatible with my truck
05:46this thing is a hassle to return but my dad came up with a solution to take these two of
05:53these cut
05:54these in half right here and use this as a clamp so it comes with this and originally this is
05:59supposed
05:59to come somehow on the rail system that I don't have but he said if we use this we make
06:06a makeshift
06:07clamp and clamp it to right up here so this clamps up in it like that and this will be
06:17it for on all six
06:19or wait yeah six and should be pretty solid it feels solid but I'm just so nervous because this is
06:24not how it's supposed to be put on I don't want to return this thing and I'm nervous about
06:29washboard roads and stuff but he says that it should be fine I don't have to figure this out because
06:33I can't return it once we start cutting the hardware
06:37do I trust my dad that's the question
06:43I'll be pieced together so it'll have a lot of contact points it won't just be like
