Marcos inspects new buildings in fire-hit Quezon City school

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on June 10, 2026 inspects the two newly completed school buildings at fire-hit San Francisco High School in Quezon City, as part of his administration’s commitment to ensure learners have access to safe and adequate classrooms. The new buildings — one built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the other funded by SM Supermalls — fulfill the President’s commitment to rebuild the school facilities damaged in the fire in June last year, the Presidential Communications Office said. Completed four months ahead of schedule, the DPWH-built four-story Dao building replaces the fire-damaged structure and now houses 36 classrooms. The SM-funded Henry Sy Sr. Hall replaces the old Narra Building and adds 24 classrooms.
