00:01Imagine that a cure for suffering has been found.
00:04And think for a minute what a big deal that is.
00:08The Buddha asked all these questions like,
00:10how do you find happiness in this?
00:13Old age, sickness, death, uncertainty, suffering.
00:17Tibet is like for a thousand years.
00:19It just staggers the mind to imagine the combined willpower
00:24and brainpower that was directed towards developing
00:26spiritual technology for freeing the human mind.
00:35Everything has two sides.
00:37Unfortunate sight is we lost the country.
00:41Fortunate sight is the Dharma van all over the world.
00:46We are part of a generation of people who basically said,
00:50I want to out.
00:50I heard about these buses that you could go from England to Nepal
00:56drive.
00:59Now, you know, you can get anything quick.
01:01Whatever you want, you know, Google, you know.
01:06People are like, oh, what's this Buddhism stuff?
01:13Because we perceive true existence because of that very powerful mind.
01:17Not as a religion, but simply the science of mind.
01:22Our brains are constantly being shaped.
01:27It is quite remarkable how close a parallel there is
01:32between our modern understanding of neuroplasticity
01:35and the Buddhist notions of transformation.
01:50I think the future of Buddhism is really in the West.
01:55It's almost us.
01:56In the West.
01:59In the West.
02:00In the West.
02:00Be present.
02:01Be now.
02:03Be aware.
02:04Everything happens so quick.
02:06We are forced to be enlightened.
02:10Otherwise, it would drive us crazy.
02:15Great day.
02:19What you think of the same way
