00:06A child account also provides access to powerful parental controls.
00:10If your kids aren't on a child account today, don't worry, you can convert their existing account.
00:17Building off the child account this year, we focused on tackling the things parents are most concerned about,
00:23like what content our kids can see, who they're allowed to talk to,
00:27when kids have access, and how parents can guide their kids' digital journey.
00:33And we're providing parents with recommendations based on expert guidance
00:37to help them decide what's right for their kids.
00:40Let's start with what content kids can see.
00:43On one hand, there's so many benefits to your child having their own device.
00:48You rest easier since you can stay in touch, know where they are,
00:52and provide them with great apps that help them learn and grow.
00:55But we also worry about opening the door to too much, too quickly,
00:59and letting kids access things they're not ready for yet.
01:03Starting this year, parents can ensure their kids start focused
01:07by giving them access to only the content they are comfortable with.
01:11Then, gradually, and when appropriate, add more over time.
01:16It begins with an easy-to-use setup assistant,
01:19where parents can choose exactly what they want to allow.
01:23A few essential apps, a recommended set, or the specific ones they want.
01:29Over time, a child will be ready to add more,
01:32and parents can remain in control.
01:35To tell you more, here's Anne.
01:36Bye bye!
