00:01Dylan Larkin's got a three-team list. That's it. That's all folks.
00:06Completely unreasonable. You guys have feedback. We want to know if you're
00:10turning on this guy because I get wanting to get out. Yeah, he has every
00:13right to get out, but you got to play ball with the team has every right to
00:16ask out. Yeah, you got to play ball with the team though. Yeah, and three
00:21teams that all have very little to offer in return. I just was not making
00:25that deal and you're not leaving and now we're going to enter awkward
00:28phase if not outright mess because we've got people asking do they take
00:33the seat? Does he sit in the press box? What if he doesn't get dealt? Does he
00:36booed when he comes out of the ice on opening night if they give the seat
00:40to somebody else while he's still on the team? Does it splinter the locker
00:43room like these are things that you don't want to entertain? No, but
00:49there's I mean, there's a morbid curiosity of you. Why do people look
00:54at the wreck on the side of the road? You know heads. Why does traffic
00:58slow down and it's not always because it's just bottlenecked. It's because
01:01everybody wants to see what's going on gawking. Yeah, I said it when the news
01:06broke. This is a soap opera. You don't have to know hockey to be interested in
01:12the drama here because it's leader and the captain and a demand. Oh, it's juicy,
01:18but we got to see where this goes. Some of the feedback from you guys. It shows
01:2271 is not a leader. Larkin turned down the city first selfish move trying to
01:26join a super team. He realizes he's not capable of winning on his own. Now
01:31this is I wanted Dylan gone for a long time. I knew he'd never lead us to a
01:34Stanley Cup. I'm much happier as a Wings fan knowing he will be gone. Terry in
01:38grand blank. Larkin only seems like the bad guy because this is hockey. No other
01:43sport holds their players like accountable like this. I promise you he did not
01:47want things to go down like this. Well, I mean, do you think let's just play a
01:54hypothetical if Cade said, man, you're not going to give me another shooter. I
01:59want out. I think there would be a reaction to that as well. Why does it
02:04Larkin include Colorado and Dallas on his short list or or Carolina or CSKA
02:12Moscow? Any other teams that never lose the dude thinks he can pick and choose
02:16where he wants to play like he's the goat. John, you've said it's
02:20arrogant. Yeah, this three team list 248 539 97 97. We'll get to your putter
02:25story at the end of the hour. The Knicks lost last night was so much fun to
02:31watch all those a list stars pay all for them. They don't. It doesn't matter
02:36right the whole money paying for the tickets, but the Ben Stiller's the
02:39Timothee Chalamet. Oh, yeah, just to sit there, you know, you know, Spike Lee in
02:44his little clown outfit and he to watch them lose when, you know, everyone in
02:50New York is thinking, hey, we're just going to march to a championship first in
02:5453 years. They've got the the bags of of ticker tape, all that stuff, the
03:01confetti ready to go, and then they lose. And now there's all the pucker factor in
03:08New York is high. Got one more game in New York before we go back to San
03:13Antonio. And are they going back to two? Are they going back three one? I think
03:20it's going to be two two. And this just got really interesting. Well, you know what
03:25they say? And I'm not a big New York fan fan. Yeah. So I love I love it when they
03:32get so excited. They get so we're talking about arrogance. Let's go ahead and throw
03:35the arrogant word out again. So what is it? Because when the Cubs were going to break
03:40their drought, I feel like they became likable, lovable, and people wanted to see
03:44him win. Oh, yeah. Does New York seem like a lovable place? Not that we love
03:50Chicago or the Chicago teams, but New York? Yeah, man. And I had to play in front of
03:57those fans, and they're just a special kind. The fact that some of those people
04:04paid. Well, most of those people paid thousands, if not tens of thousands for
04:10this game. Oh boy, pucker factor. John, you know what they say? A series doesn't
04:15start. Yeah, so the home team wins. Yeah. Well, home team is still has over three. All
04:25these games have been close. All of them. Game one was tied in the final two
04:29minutes. Game two was was within a point in the final possession. Yeah, then your
04:33guy came up small. He didn't come up small last night. 32 points, including very
04:37early from the jump getting to the basket. They still have the best player in the
04:40series. San Antonio. No, it's a question. We felt like San Antonio was the best
04:43team coming into this. And if there's a pucker factor, a pressure, could you
04:51imagine New York blows this up 2-0? Oh, how tantalizingly tasty that would be? Oh,
04:57can you imagine just the the decibel level of Stephen A? I believe they would
05:03be the first team ever to win the first two rogue games and not win the NBA.
05:08Yes, that is correct. That the finals only that's happened in other series, but not
05:12in the finals. Yep. There have been. I believe I saw five teams that have come
05:18back down 2-0, but that's because they lost those two games on the road. They
05:25didn't lose them at home. Correct. I really thought another thing from last
05:30night's game composure by San Antonio early in the game, taking the crowd off
05:36their, you know, off their pedestal. The atmosphere was was awesome. It seemed
05:42like a great atmosphere, but you have to take kind of the fangs out, right? Take
05:46the bite out of the crowd and they jumped them early. They built a double
05:49digit lead early. They had 28 assists and only eight turnovers. So that's a
05:55composure on the road in the garden in the finals and what could have been a
05:59real hostile environment for four quarters. All I'm saying is we have a
06:07little bit of Charles Barkley audio that we can play for people because because
06:10Charles said something at halftime and I I agree with them series is over. I'll
06:38think San Antonio wins this. I really do. I felt that way going into the game
06:43yesterday. I feel that way after seeing him going to New York and win people
06:49are ripping Wemby for drawing in the park. He's going to draw this series even
06:53after Wednesday night. Yeah, it's it is getting very interesting and I mean it
07:00great for the NBA, right? Because now all of a sudden there are more people that are
07:04watching it because outside of New York we want to see the New York collapse. We
07:11want to hear the Stephen A's. We want to hear all those. Yeah, it's just a good
07:15little basketball team voices just in agony over the Knicks blowing and a 2-0 lead.
07:27Yeah, Barkley wasn't done at halftime though. How about this?
07:33.
07:34.
07:35.
07:35.
07:43.
07:44.
07:44.
08:00they have a lot of fun
08:02they have a ton of fun
08:04and I feel like
08:07Barkley
08:09is
08:10the superstar version
08:12of our Mike Stone
08:14where he can kind of
08:16say something that
08:18no one else can say
08:19and not get cancelled
08:21you don't think you'd get away with it the same way Barkley would
08:24no no no I see myself more
08:26as the Shaq in that relationship
08:28where he just eggs on
08:32all of the people around him
08:33and tries to get them to say things
08:36and just sits there and laughs at it
08:40Tom you've been quiet back there
08:41I think San Antonio is going to win this series
08:43and I think we're going to get to watch a New York meltdown
08:45your thoughts?
08:46I'm not ready to go there yet
08:48the Knicks lost their first game since April
08:52that feels like a made up stat
08:54officiating
08:55last night
08:56definitely swayed to the Spurs
08:58and Mike Brown called it out after the game
08:59so I expect that to be balanced
09:01yeah but the NBA wants this to go 7
09:05or at least 6
09:08I think the Knicks will still win the series
09:10I heard somebody say this
09:13yesterday morning driving into work
09:15it's hard to imagine
09:16a team that hasn't lost since April
09:18losing 4 out of 5
09:21I agree
09:22and I'm not necessarily
09:24I don't know where I land in terms of
09:26what I think is going to happen
09:28I think the potential is there for San Antonio
09:30to even things up
09:32on was it Wednesday they play
09:34but for me it's more
09:38I'm hoping
09:39the Knicks blow it
09:41just so that we can celebrate
09:43the misery
09:45that will be the New York media
09:47and their fans
09:49yeah Tom I get your point about
09:51the Knicks haven't lost
09:53you know very often at all here
09:55and how could they lose all these in a row
09:57it's also hard to imagine
09:58a 7-6 alien losing these games
10:01like they have the best
10:02he lost two
10:03I mean
10:04they lost three in the last round
10:06I heard this
10:06they didn't lose four
10:07I mean again
10:07he is the best player in the series
10:09he breaks the game of basketball
10:11he's not alone
10:12they're the better team
10:13the better defense
10:14I continue to look at both these young guards
10:17Harper and Castle
10:18Castle specifically last night man
10:20it's like he's in slow motion
10:21like for a guy who's still in his early 20s
10:24to be playing as poised as he was
10:26in that environment
10:27I still think they're the better team
10:29I think they were the better team
10:29in game one and game two
10:30and let it get away
10:31they're a young team
10:32but I'll still take the better team
10:34I'll take San Antonio
10:36see we've just disagreed on this
10:37for about a month and a half now
10:39I swayed to thinking
10:40even when the Pistons were in the second round
10:43I didn't think they could beat the Knicks anymore
10:46the Knicks to me
10:47people just aren't going to accept the fact
10:50that they're a way better basketball team
10:52than we thought
10:53until they hoist the trophy
10:55are they this year's version of Philly
10:57two years ago
10:58in football
11:00the Eagles
11:01we didn't really appreciate them
11:03until they got to the Super Bowl
11:07they had a dominant
11:08I know you did
11:09we overlooked their dominant regular season
11:11because the Lions were disco in 15 and 2
11:14the Knicks didn't really do that in regular season
11:16now playoff wise
11:17I can see the comparison
11:18yeah but we overlooked it
11:18because hey we won 60 games
11:21right
11:23they got the two grand slam coming up at 725
11:26what happened to John's putter
11:27that's next
11:2897-1
11:29hey
