00:06It feels wild to think that Sony's Venom franchise started almost 8 years ago, because back when
00:11the first movie starring Tom Hardy was announced, a bunch of people were not even sure if it
00:15could work without Spider-Man being fully involved. But somehow, the movies found their
00:21own audience anyway. They became loud, weird, chaotic, and surprisingly emotional at times,
00:27especially because Hardy treated Eddie Brock and Venom like two exhausted best friends constantly
00:32arguing with each other. Even though critics were mixed on the trilogy, the franchise still became
00:37one of Sony's biggest non-Spider-Man successes outside the Marvel Studios partnership.
00:43Now, things are getting even more interesting, because Sony is reportedly developing a brand
00:48new animated Venom movie, and Hardy himself is involved in the project too. Details are still
00:55pretty limited right now, although the announcement alone already has fans talking non-stop online.
01:00The movie is supposedly being directed and produced by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein,
01:06the duo connected to Final Destination bloodlines, and people are already wondering what direction
01:11Sony wants to take this new animated universe. The biggest question is whether Hardy is only producing,
01:18or if he will actually return to voice Venom again. Having Hardy continue as the voice would probably be
01:24the smartest move because his chemistry with the symbiote became the identity of the franchise.
01:30His version of Eddie Brock feels messy, awkward, funny, and broken all at once,
01:35so bringing that same energy into animation could make the transition feel seamless.
01:40But the real reason fans are excited is because animation suddenly opens the door for Sony to
01:45adapt stories that would probably be way too expensive or visually insane in live action.
01:52And there is one storyline in particular that everybody immediately started thinking about,
01:57King in Black. Sony already teased Null at the end of Venom The Last Dance, and that tease felt way
02:03too massive to ignore. Null is not just another villain, he's basically the god of symbiotes,
02:09a cosmic nightmare who existed before light itself. In the comics, the King in Black storyline becomes one
02:16of the biggest symbiote events Marvel ever created because Null invades Earth with symbiote dragons and
02:22an army powerful enough to threaten the entire planet. That type of story would be absolutely
02:27gigantic in animation. Sony already proved with the Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse movies that
02:34animation gives them freedom to do things live action sometimes cannot fully capture. The Spider-Verse
02:40films exploded because they embraced comic book craziness visually instead of trying to tone
02:46everything down. So if Sony takes that same energy and applies it to Venom, the result could be one of
02:52the most visually insane Marvel animated projects ever made. And this is exactly where Anti-Venom could
03:00become extremely important. A bunch of fans have wanted to see Anti-Venom in live action for years,
03:06although Sony might actually introduce him first through animation instead. That could be the
03:12perfect choice because Anti-Venom's powers, design, and cosmic importance have become much bigger in
03:18recent comics. Animation would allow Sony to fully embrace the weirdness and scale of the character
03:23without worrying about budget limitations or realistic CGI restrictions. The interesting thing is that
03:31Anti-Venom is no longer just some alternate symbiote form from older comics.
03:36Recent Marvel stories are turning Anti-Venom into something far more important on a cosmic level,
03:41especially during the newer Venom comics and Venom War storyline. Anti-Venom starts evolving into a
03:48force that could completely reshape Marvel cosmology itself. That sounds crazy, although the comics really
03:55went there. In recent stories, Eddie Brock is no longer simply Venom. He became the King in Black,
04:02meaning he inherited control over the symbiote hive and gained godlike power connected to darkness and
04:08the cosmic void. But even with all that power, Eddie still struggled against threats like Meridius and
04:15the zombie hordes. Then something unexpected happened. Eddie transformed back into Anti-Venom,
04:21although this version was far beyond anything fans had seen before.
04:25This is where Sony's animated project could get very exciting. Instead of only adapting a simple King
04:32and Black invasion story, the movie could slowly introduce the idea that Anti-Venom is the true
04:38opposite of Null's darkness. In the comics, Anti-Venom becomes more than just a white symbiote.
04:44It becomes an anomaly that breaks the rules of existence itself. Marvel's cosmic lore explains
04:50that the Celestials created balances within the universe. The Beyonders represented creation while
04:57the Kings in Black represented the endless void and nothingness. But Anti-Venom suddenly introduced
05:03something completely different into that balance. It was not destruction and it was not simple creation
05:08either. It represented existence itself. That is one of the coolest concepts Marvel has introduced in
05:15years because it transforms Eddie Brock from a street-level anti-hero into somebody connected
05:21to the structure of reality itself. And Sony could absolutely build toward that in animation.
05:27A lot of people assume Sony's animated Venom movie will just be another action-heavy symbiote story,
05:33although the studio actually has a chance to make something much bigger and stranger. They could start
05:39with Eddie Brock still dealing with the aftermath of The Last Dance, while Null slowly prepares his
05:45invasion in the background. Then, over time, the film could introduce Anti-Venom as the only force
05:51capable of truly resisting Null's corruption. That would make the emotional side of the story even
05:57stronger too, because Eddie Brock's entire journey has always been about identity and control. Venom constantly
06:05changed him, consumed him, and pushed him into darker places. Anti-Venom represents the opposite
06:11direction, healing, restoration, purification. So thematically, it actually fits Eddie's character
06:18arc perfectly. This could even connect beautifully with Spider-Man brand new day ideas if Sony and
06:24Marvel Studios ever decide to explore Anti-Venom around Spider-Man 2. A bunch of fans have theories
06:31that Spider-Man's future stories after the multiverse saga might lean into darker symbiote material again.
06:37Tom Holland's Peter Parker is entering a lonely phase after No Way Home, and brand new day style
06:44storytelling usually focuses on Peter rebuilding his life from scratch while facing more grounded
06:49emotional struggles. That environment could easily allow symbiotes to return in a more personal way.
06:56Imagine if Sony uses the animated Venom movie to establish Anti-Venom first, and then later brings
07:03elements of that mythology into Spider-Man projects. Anti-Venom has deep connections to Spider-Man lore
07:10because the symbiote was originally tied to Eddie Brock's body and biology after years of interaction
07:16with Venom and Peter Parker's alien suit history. So if Holland's Spider-Man eventually encounters
07:22symbiote corruption again, Anti-Venom could become a cure or even a counterbalance against Null's influence.
07:28That would actually create a really interesting dynamic because Spider-Man stories usually explore
07:35responsibility while Venom stories explore obsession and survival. A King and Black adaptation without
07:41Spider-Man involvement would feel strange eventually because Peter Parker is heavily tied to symbiote
07:46mythology at this point. Even if Sony starts with animation first, the long-term setup could still lead
07:53toward crossover possibilities later. Another reason Anti-Venom would work perfectly in animation
07:59is because the visual contrast would look incredible. Null's world is pure darkness, black armor, red
08:06cosmic horror, and endless void imagery. Anti-Venom is bright white, glowing, almost angelic compared to
08:14regular symbiotes. So the visual symbolism between the two would immediately stand out on screen.
08:19At the end of the day, Sony's animated Venom movie feels exciting because it represents possibility.
08:27The live-action trilogy already established Eddie Brock and Venom as fan-favorite characters,
08:32although animation now gives Sony a chance to go even bigger, darker, and more cosmic than before.
08:38And if the studio truly decides to adapt King and Black while introducing Anti-Venom properly,
08:44the project could become far more than just another spin-off. It could end up being Sony's gateway into
08:50Marvel's strangest and most ambitious symbiote storytelling yet, while also quietly laying foundations
08:57for future Spider-Man connections and even larger crossover stories down the line.
09:02And that's that for today's video. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one.
