Death toll due to M7.8 quake in Sarangani rises to 35

The death toll from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Sarangani has climbed to 35, according to the Office of Civil Defense. Of the fatalities, 31 were recorded in Soccsksargen and four in Davao Region. Sarangani reported 17 deaths, followed by General Santos City with 12, and South Cotabato with two.
