Marcos to proceed with Independence Day rites despite alleged destabilization plot

President Marcos will push through with his traditional Independence Day activities despite reports of an alleged destabilization plot on June 12, Malacañang said on Monday, June 8.  Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a press briefing that the President's schedule for the country's 128th Independence Day celebration would proceed as planned.
