00:33to be there so we were growing further and further apart and we realized that
00:37we had to make some changes which led us to this opportunity of moving to Roatan
00:45moving to Roatan it's like uncharted territory so it's gonna be fun to get
00:49back to how it was before kids when we had that strong connection so cute sparks
00:54are flying yeah Honduras cowboy I'm really excited I'm a little bit scared
01:00but Roatan could be that place that saves our marriage
01:46this is so nice vacation without the kids it's much needed so we have two kids our son is seven
01:53years old
01:54and our daughter is five years old crazy to think about such a drastic step but you
02:00know I think it's the right thing for us we did try reading books self-help counseling I
02:06also tried using ketamine in a clinical professional setting we felt like we
02:12kind of exhausted everything I'm definitely looking forward to spending a lot of time with
02:18you really don't think I'm gonna like annoy you like times fast you might you might but that's
02:24kind of what I'm afraid of like you know is it gonna be too much time together you know what

02:28mean this move to Roatan is either gonna be make or break we're gonna be spending a lot of time
02:33together so this is either gonna be great or horrible I'm gonna like put the persistence on

02:53Tegucigalpa I love Roatan and I've seen it grow and develop and I'm excited to show this island to
03:00somebody who's coming with fresh eyes to get a new start are you excited I love it yeah we're ready

03:06this change and all the new adventure Roatan is an island 40 miles off the north coast of Honduras
03:12we're lying along the second largest barrier reef in the world the Mesoamerican barrier reef it's
03:19actually very close to shore so you can snorkel on the most amazing turquoise waters this beautiful
03:25part where we're sitting at is between West End and West Bay the most famous touristy spots you're
03:32gonna find a mile long white sandy beach with beautiful all-inclusive resorts lining it up yeah I
03:39definitely want to stick to West Bay because it's close to all the restaurants and activities and
03:43part of coming here is going on dates and being romantic I mean I get what you're saying but if
03:48I feel like we can get better bang for our buck maybe a little east if you move a little
03:54further
03:54to Mid Island it's equally beautiful but a lot more residential one thing you know I was hoping to be
03:59was on the beach we could always just walk to the beach if we had a view that would be
04:03good too what
04:04will make you guys feel at home in beautiful Roatan we want at least three bedrooms three bath yeah for
04:12sure we definitely want a pool especially if we're not right on the beach we want to be able to
04:15swim in
04:16terms of your styles what are you guys looking for I prefer a modern sort of minimalist I want more
04:22of
04:22like the Mediterranean look with like the tile roofs I would definitely prefer something furnished it
04:29would take a lot of the stress off of moving to another country what are you thinking in terms of
04:33budget
04:33we definitely want to keep our budget to 1 million I've given up my oil and gas job to come
04:40here which
04:41provided a sense of security while we were living in mobile we acquired some rental properties so we
04:46intend to use that income to live off of here in Roatan well you know if we get everything I
04:53think we
04:53could go a little bit more okay I think it's important to stick more to the budget I promise
04:58we're going to find the one that suits you both we appreciate it
05:13okay guys welcome to Palmetto Bay this is one of my favorite developments here on the island this home
05:19is not going to be on the water but it does have access to a beach that's part of the
05:24community sounds
05:25good is listed at 965,000 okay that's good below budget so it's like contemporary it's cool this one
05:35delivers on ocean views and a pool we're sitting on three quarters of an acre has two bedrooms to
05:41bath and a beautiful home that's valley inspired with contemporary lines that I know you'll love Serena sounds

05:56expecting that I could get used to this wow look at those colors yeah it's really nice I like that

06:36high the ceilings are yeah and I like the open concept and the really high ceilings make it look big
06:42it's fully furnished too mm-hmm not that I'm really a fan of the furniture yeah it's not
06:47exactly our style but it could work in this kitchen island is huge it's beautiful it is and it's got

06:54little breakfast bar one thing about moving here is I want to get back in the kitchen and cooking for
07:00you and the kids and maybe you'll take up cooking with me yeah I think we'll leave that to you

07:05the first time Serena invited me over to her apartment she cooked like salmon and I thought
07:10it was amazing little did I know she doesn't really cook it was one of those meals that come
07:15like already prepared that you just kind of like heat up he does all our cooking still to this day

07:22okay so this must be the second bedroom yeah it is a beautiful view from here let's go find where
07:28the baby making happens you mean the primary bedroom that's right okay his jokes they are kind
07:36of like cute in a way and a little over the top sometimes but at the end of the day
07:40I love it and
07:41it brings a lot of fun into her relationship I mean it's not as resort style as I had hope
07:48no and look at
07:51this privacy no that's not good for baby making no it's not good for baby making it's way too small
07:59for our family we really need more bedrooms the kids would have to share a bedroom so this is kind
08:05of open concept bathroom huh okay I like this this is big double sinks is nice we definitely have some
08:12stuff to think about here yeah it's definitely a unique property hi how did you like the house we love
08:18the view but I was thinking the further east we got the better value a house would be but I
08:24wanted
08:24to be on the ocean I wanted three bedrooms we are still under budget so that is a plus there's

08:30of pressure on me to deliver obviously the closer you get to the water you will be reaching those
08:36million dollar price points based on what I've seen today I'd be willing to go over budget a little
08:41bit to get what we want we are no longer working and we're relying on rental income so we do

08:46watch what we're spending I prefer to be a little bit closer to our budget and be closer to the

10:25okay guys so we're heading into West Bay now we're gonna be looking at a property we're not going to
10:31be on the water Jordan but we will be having amazing ocean views I'm excited yeah I'm excited and you're
10:37we're only a few minutes away from West Bay Beach that's the exact area I want to be in okay

12:38drinks rekindling our romance the ayahuasca it was life-changing but I wouldn't say everything is still
12:47roses so only time will tell this seating area is really nice it's great for entertaining and watching
12:54the sunrise that's an infinity pool too huh yeah I think that's a pretty good size it's not too big

15:05today's been tough yeah looking at houses is pretty draining it's a lot of money we're going
15:10to be spending so we want to make sure that we're going to be happy there that West Bay house

15:15nice yeah it was beautiful it wasn't right on the water you can't beat that view so I think we

15:21still consider the West Bay house but I think the Palmetto Bay house we definitely need to take off
15:26the table I'm just a little concerned about the location being mid-island and farther from everything
15:32and that drive would get old it's not worth the added stress you know at the end of the day

15:57we're going to be seeing a property today that's on a little strip of beach and we're like seven to
16:03eight minutes away from West End and seven to eight minutes away from West Bay we're in an area called
16:08the banks it's less commercial than West Bay but we also are very close to some of the most exclusive
16:15boutique hotels and restaurants here on the west side it actually comes with needed access to a dock
16:23which is a great perk you can catch those water taxis from the dock and go to the West Bay
16:28and West
16:29areas without the traffic that sounds amazing the home is a three-bedroom three-bathroom it's listed
16:35at 1.22 million US dollars I don't like the sounds of that I'm definitely excited to see this property
16:43okay guys this is the only listing on the beach for the entire western part of the island so this
16:56already makes this home unique fair enough all right let's go

17:19this is incredible a literal beach in our backyard yeah walking out on this beach we could have like

17:40for us when we were in Mobile Alabama if we wanted to go out it was like a 20 minute

17:46walking distance to the bars to the restaurants is is great it's nice that the place has a pool yeah

19:16activities we have so many places to go and explore the most important thing to me is beach access and

19:23also in the area Serena wants to be so that's a big deal I mean this house is amazing it

19:29much of what we want but I'm really concerned about the budget the budget the budget the budget like
19:35that's all I've been hearing it's time to put the budget aside and let's just like enjoy it we've been
19:41working like extremely hard this past year on our relationship and we only want that to continue to
19:47grow I think if we can both compromise on a house we can really continue to grow this relationship
20:05as you can see we went with the West Bay house the moment we walked in it just felt right

20:25man I wish we would have found a house with four now because we're pregnant when we decided to come

20:34Roatan we didn't have any thought about having a baby but things have been so good here our love has
20:40been amazing moving here has definitely helped our relationship we've had lots of time to go out to

21:00I feel amazing knowing that Jordan will be around for the pregnancy the birth the difficult newborn stages

21:16this whole move has been totally worth it it's 100% saved our marriage we are so happy here waking
