00:04linked to a fatal head-on collision in Kedar that killed six people.
00:09Magistrate Mohamed Azlan Basri dismissed the application on Monday
00:12against the 49-year-old driver who was arrested shortly after Sunday's crash in Kampung Baru, Pinangtunggal.
00:19The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
00:26Kedar Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Adzli Abu Shah said a preliminary urine screening on the driver returned negative for drugs.
00:34However, police records show he carries seven traffic summonsers, four of which remain outstanding.
00:40Commissioner Adzli noted the lorry was travelling at 60kmph at the time of the crash, and the driver holds a
00:46valid licence.
00:47Investigators say all aspects of the case are being examined to determine the exact cause.
00:52The SUV involved had only been collected from a car sales centre hours before the tragedy.
