00:03:43but we need something else to investigate well i did come up with an idea
00:03:48we could try to solve some cold cases unsolved crimes that have stymied authorities like bigfoot
00:03:56all right bigfoot isn't an unsolved case come on everyone knows it's just a guy in a chewbacca
00:04:03costume messing with people yeah it doesn't need to be high profile perhaps we could find something a
00:04:08little closer to home you know it's the perfect way for us to continue what we're doing without
00:04:12getting into any real trouble professor yes lily i found a texas cold case foundation that catalogs
00:04:21unsolved murders disappearances and suspicious deaths check this out cold case about a sweet river
00:04:28man who mysteriously died while out on a hike 10 years ago right here in beacon hill park that would
00:04:33be a good case yeah yeah that man who died was maria's husband

00:06:43i think jane had something to do with it his own sister that woman is so crooked if she swallowed

00:08:06but in the weeks leading up to that night mark was acting strangely there were mysterious phone
00:08:12calls in the middle of the night and anytime i asked him what was going on he would just shut
00:08:17down
00:08:18in the middle of dinner mark got another call said he had to go home and deal with something but

00:08:23wouldn't tell me what it was
00:08:27what's going on i don't know i remember our babysitter was surprised we were home so early

00:10:06maybe he had gotten into some trouble and had to sell it
00:10:11but deep down i didn't think that could be the reason but my mind it was desperate for some crumb

00:11:03we're not here to discuss books or solve crimes or anything else that's just window dressing
00:11:13the real reason we're in this club is to remind ourselves that we're not alone
00:11:18and to help each other it tonight made me realize that i need help with this
00:11:25even if we never solve the case just understand what happened it would mean so much to you

00:17:17he had maria said that mark was getting strange phone calls in the middle of the night that upset him
00:17:24but he wouldn't tell her what they were about well so maybe the watch became too much of a liability
00:17:30so he decided to sell to the person who was threatening him no except he didn't the watch
00:17:36was still on his wrist when they found him all right could have gotten smashed before he made the

00:29:07ring by yourself mark was not gambling that night it was a setup i suspect the police were involved
00:29:15our previous sheriff was a man named dalton barnes mark's sister jane was just about to be elected mayor
00:29:20and there were rumors that those two didn't get along there was a power struggle between them
00:29:26but what would that have to do with a pawn broker maybe mark was just a pawn in the game
00:29:33why do i even try what kind of relationship did mark have with his sister complicated jane tried to
00:29:39help mark get the charges dropped but he refused said he didn't trust her who else knew about the watch
00:29:47as far as i know just jane and me mark didn't even let the kids know he had it
