00:00The next album is called Brunch.
00:02They're like, so what are you listening to at the moment?
00:03I'm like, to be honest, I've just been listening to myself.
00:05Now, look what I got, baby!
00:07Come on!
00:08Do you know the LP took too long to come?
00:10Because I had to get the CD.
00:13Explicit parental advice on this.
00:15Swear.
00:16Someone's grown up.
00:17Well done.
00:18Amazing record.
00:19Good to see you.
00:20I've played the little CD.
00:21I absolutely loved it.
00:22Are you happy right now?
00:23You seem like a happy Niall.
00:24Yes, I'm very, very happy.
00:25Yeah, releasing music is always scary.
00:29But I guess a good litmus test would be standing in front of 80,000 people at Wembley
00:33just to see how well it did yesterday.
00:36So it's very exciting to have new tunes out and just be playing live gigs again.
00:41Like when you spend so long in the studio, you just want to get back at it again.
00:45Yeah.
00:45Much like the golf though?
00:47I haven't seen you doing much golf when you released that.
00:49I'm not going to lie.
00:49I have been having my golfing a lot recently, which is probably a good thing for my music.
00:53If you're going to play one round of golf, it's got to be Gareth Bale.
00:58Huh?
00:58It's got to be Gareth.
00:59I've played with Gareth.
00:59I've played with Gareth.
01:00He's fantastic.
01:02Who would I play with?
01:03Who would I play with?
01:03Bill Murray.
01:05He's the best.
01:06That's incredible.
01:07No, you absolutely love your golf.
01:08You love your music.
01:09What about the earring?
01:10I haven't seen you since you had both pierced.
01:11Really?
01:12No.
01:12It's probably been two or three years since I've seen you here.
01:15That's a proper grown up moment.
01:16Is it?
01:19I've actually forgotten I haven't even had them in.
01:20I love it.
01:20The only problem is writing an app called Dinner Party.
01:23You're going to have all the questions about food.
01:25Yeah.
01:25And like who you want to your party.
01:26Stuff like that.
01:27Does it go out?
01:29The next album is called Brunch.
01:32No, I don't mind that.
01:34I was kind of half expecting it when I wrote a song called Dinner Party and had an album called
01:37Dinner Party.
01:38But it's all good fun.
01:39It's all in good fun.
01:41We've got to talk about football.
01:42A bit of a bittersweet summer for you.
01:44Are you supporting anybody?
01:47I'm a big fan of the Scottish football team.
01:49And I actually think they could do a lot better than probably they even think.
01:52So I think I'd be supporting Scotland.
01:53Obviously, you know, I watch the Premier League every week and watch some of the England lads as well and
01:58know some of them.
02:00And there's just so much talent in that team that they should do.
02:02Well, I don't know if they'll win it or not.
02:04But yeah, we've, you know, watching a bit of Scotland, watching a bit of England, watching a bit of Brazil
02:08are back.
02:09Having some late night dinner parties, watching the football.
02:11Correct and right.
02:11Technical kickoffs.
02:12I know, it's a bit, that is a bit late.
02:14I haven't spent some of the summer in America, so I might be alright for time.
02:18This is amazing, honestly.
02:19I just feel like this year ago, you're the happiest you've been.
02:22You can hear it.
02:22Yeah, yeah.
02:23Do you feel that as well?
02:24Oh yeah, I just think, yeah.
02:25I've grown up a bit.
02:27There's a bit of that.
02:27You've always been the mature one, come on.
02:29I don't know, I don't know about that.
02:30But yeah, definitely done a bit of growing up in the last few years.
02:33So, happy.
02:33Life's good, life's good.
02:34Yeah, I'm so happy for you.
02:35And Ed always says he listens to his music in the car.
02:37Would you like put a little bit of yourself on when you're driving about?
02:40Well, I have been for the last six months trying to produce and mix the album.
02:44That's where I probably just, just listen to myself.
02:46And then I come back and people are like, so what are you listening to at the moment?
02:48I'm like, to be honest, I've just been listening to myself for the last six months while I've been making
02:52this album.
02:53But yeah, I know, I spend a lot of time in the car listening to, listening to music anyway.
02:57But only myself for the last while.
02:59Yeah.
03:00And if you had VAR in your life, what moment would you overturn?
03:04Jesus.
03:06God, oh my.
03:08I don't know, I don't really feel like you've got to do that.
03:12I swore at everyone at my wedding at 1am.
03:14Did you?
03:15Yeah, maybe not that.
03:16Maybe take away the swearing at your own wedding.
03:18She was a bit off, didn't she?
03:20Yeah.
03:21And what happens next with other music?
03:23Are you always working on the next thing?
03:24Kinda, yeah, to be honest.
03:26Like I always have, well I have a go on tour in September.
03:29So I have my eye on that at the moment, designing stage, making the set list and stuff.
03:33But you're always kind of like thinking about, if someone was to drop me off in a studio now, what
03:37would I do?
03:37What would I sound like?
03:39What would I write about?
03:40So you always have kind of one eye on that.
03:42But with the tour coming up, I have to just concentrate on that.
03:45Make the best show I possibly can.
03:48Get bums in seats to give them a good time.
03:50Honestly, it's so good to see you.
03:51I saw Boyddon last night, by the way.
03:52Did you?
03:53You look great.
03:54I've seen some videos this morning.
03:55I want to see you on tour with them, maybe.
03:58Great to see you again, darling.
