00:00We had a couple very dramatic scenes together, but she, again, she's like one of my heroes.
00:07I was so excited to work with her.
00:09She's down for anything.
00:11The first scene we shot, I'm like, I'm actually, I was supposed to kind of like shake her and like
00:15slap her to like, you know, snap her out of it.
00:18And you're supposed to do it in a fake way, but I actually, on the first take, I actually slapped
00:22her.
00:23And I was like, oh my God, I'm so sorry.
00:26And she was like, it's okay, do it again.
00:28And I was like, okay.
00:30That's why I like you.
00:31It's a love story, you know, it's not romantic.
00:34Well, it is romantic, but it's, you know, it's a love story between a kind of eccentric woman that takes
00:45in a foster child.
00:47And it's kind of, it reminded me of this movie Karina Karina with Whoopi Goldberg, like in the 90s.
00:56And they just don't make movies like this anymore.
00:58And I thought there was just something so heartfelt and sincere about it and simple about the story.
01:06So I just hope people fall in love with the characters and yeah.
01:10The script is so, was so beautifully written.
01:14I cried every time I read it and I just, every time, yeah.
01:18If I, I read the script just as a friend, honestly.
01:21I wasn't meant to be involved or even play the part in the movie.
01:26I just read it as a friend and I was like, I just felt so strongly about it.
01:30I was like, this is such a beautiful story.
01:32And it could tell Zach's, you know, personal journeys like all over it in some ways.
01:38So I just told him I'd love to help in whatever way.
01:42And then I came on as a producer and then we kind of talked about me being in it.
01:47And I was like, great.
01:48I'm very excited.
01:49This film is a true labor of love.
01:52I've known Zach Wood since I was 19 years old.
01:56Susan Sarandon is a hero of mine.
01:59And so, um, yeah, it's been, it's, it's like the little movie that could, um, it's a really
02:05hard movie to get together.
02:07And once we got it done, it's like, yeah, it's amazing.
