Censuran a estudiante musulmana en Carolina del Norte por hablar de Palestina e ICE en su discurso de graduación

Leen Hijaz, alumna musulmana de Carolina del Norte, fue interrumpida por una funcionaria escolar cuando en su discurso de graduación comenzó a denunciar el sufrimiento en Palestina, Sudán, Congo, Afganistán y las familias separadas por el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE).   “No nos dieron voz para permanecer en silencio”, alcanzó a decir antes de que alguien se acercara al atril y le cortara la intervención. 00:15many people around the world are struggling and suffering to be heard.

00:21Whether it's the millions suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan, and so many other countries around the world,

00:28these are the families being torn apart by ICE. These are not distant issues. They are happening right now as

00:34I speak.

00:35My point is we're not given a voice to stay silent and to just sit down.
