01:24But Saturday's race will be one and a quarter miles, the same length as the Derby, because of
01:30the configuration of the main racetrack at Saratoga Racecourse in Saratoga Springs, New York, where the
01:36Belmont has been held since 2024. Following completion of a significant redevelopment project later this
01:42year, the race is anticipated to return to Belmont Park on Long Island, New York, in 2027.
01:49Renegade won the Arkansas Derby in March, beating Florida's Sam F., who finished second at the Derby on
01:55the first Saturday in May. Davis Stakes in February. The Bay Colt also came in second place in December's

03:19March, behind fellow Belmont competitor Commandment, who won the race. This resulted in the Bay Colt

04:25With 9-2 morning line odds, Golden Tempo has a chance to follow in Sovereignty's footsteps and
04:31become the 13th horse to win the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont. Before the run for the Roses,
04:36the Derby winner raced in New Orleans, winning the Lacombe Stakes in January and placing third in
04:42the Risen Star Stakes in February. The Bay Colt also came in third in March's Louisiana Derby,
04:48which was won by a fellow Belmont contender, Emerging Market. Jose Ortiz, who rode Golden Tempo
04:55to victory in the Kentucky Derby, will have the Mount in Belmont. The 32-year-old made it to the
05:00winner's circle with Tappert in 2017 and came close with several horses who came in second,

06:31and he's come in second three times, with Fly Down in 2010, Dunkirk in 2009, and Bluegrass Cat in 2006.
