Can technical analysis actually make a Martingale strategy sustainable, or is it a guaranteed way to blow your trading account? In this video, I am running a controlled, rule-based test on CloseOption using a high-probability TradingView indicator to see if precise entry points can mitigate the massive risks of the Martingale system.
The biggest mistake traders make with Martingale is using it blindly without technical confirmation or strict caps. Today, I am setting clear boundaries: utilizing a specific technical analysis indicator on TradingView to filter out bad market conditions, and implementing a strict cap on our steps to protect capital.
What you will learn in this technical analysis walkthrough:
1. How to use TradingView alerts to avoid over-trading during flat or highly volatile market conditions.
2. Why capping your strategy at 3 or 4 steps maximum is the only way to avoid catastrophic drawdowns.
3. How to read market structure on CloseOption before executing any high-frequency positions.

00:01In this video, I'm going to be testing out a new trading strategy that I discovered in another trading video
00:11utilizing the Close Option Binary Options Trading Platform here.
00:20This is the Close Option Platform, and I have an account with them, and where I'm going to be getting
00:30my signals. Since Close Option doesn't have indicators, I'm going to be using an indicator from the TradingView Platform here.
00:43So, first of all, let's go to Close Option here. I'm inside my account, so if we click on Dashboard,
00:52this is the dashboard here of the Close Option Trading Platform here.
01:01I'm logged in, as I said. I have a couple of dollars in my balance here, but I won't be
01:09trading with the balance money. I'm going to be testing this strategy.
01:15Like I said, I just learned about this strategy from a previous video.
01:20So, what we're going to do is, yeah, Close Option has a prop firm program, but we're going to just
01:30go to the trade room here.
01:33And, okay, yeah, so Close Option has various accounts. They have a real account. They have the demo trading account,
01:40and they also have a contest account somewhere here.
01:46Let me see. Okay, here's the contest section here. They have a contest account here where you can participate in
01:56trading contests. I think the entry is, I'm not sure.
02:09Okay, currently there's a zero entry fee. They do have free contests, so currently it's free, but I think you're
02:20eligible for a one-time free entry, and it'll show up.
02:26Okay, okay, you'll get a $10,000 demo balance with that. But, anyway, I just wanted to briefly highlight that.
02:35So, let's go back to the dashboard here and go to the trade room.
02:41Okay, so I'm going to be doing some demo trading here. So, let's go into our demo account here.
02:55Let it load up. Okay, so this is the user interface of the Close Option demo trading account here. It
03:08has a demo balance. I've been testing different strategies.
03:11I believe they give you a 100,000 demo balance to start, and then you have here Close Option. I
03:25can take anywhere from 30-second trades, binary trades, up to a one-month binary trades, and all these different
03:32levels here, different time frames here.
03:35And then you can trade, and then you can trade a minimum of a dollar. That's the minimum trade size
03:42on the platform.
03:45But, being that this is a demo balance, let's do like 10% of our balance here.
03:52And what I'm going to do here, okay, we have the EURUSD. So, I'm going to be focusing on EURUSD
04:00trades.
04:01And secondly, I'm going to be taking one-minute trades.
04:07Okay, so we set the time expiry to one-minute trade size of $1,000 here.
04:17All right, so now where I'm going to get my signals from is from TradingView.
04:23So, if we go to TradingView here, what I would do is go to the search bar.
04:29You go to TradingView.com and go to the search bar, and you look up EURUSD.
04:37It's already here.
04:40So, what we're going to do is here, we're going to go to C Overview.
04:45So, we're going to click on C Overview of the EURUSD currency pair here, right?
04:54So, that pops up.
04:57And then we're going to click on Technicals here.
05:05Okay.
05:09So, in the Technicals section here, there are signals here.
05:19There's a clock bar here that tells you, okay.
05:23If we go up a little bit here, okay, for the one-day timeframe,
05:29the TradingView signal is telling you to sell.
05:31But being that we're going to be taking one-minute trades,
05:36we're going to click on the one-minute icon.
05:39You can do five minutes.
05:41Let's see here how the – when we change the timeframes, 15 minutes,
05:48saying strong sell, 30 minutes, regular sell, one hour, strong sell.
05:54Okay.
05:54So, different timeframes have different trade suggestions here.
06:03It's a combination of several oscillators here.
06:08There are moving average oscillators.
06:11I mean, there are regular oscillators like RSI, Stochastic, Commodity, Channel Index,
06:17all these oscillators here.
06:19And then there are also all these moving averages here that are taken into account
06:26when the signal button here is giving us a sell trade.
06:34So, let's go back to one-minute here, right?
06:39So, the one-minute bar is telling us – it's giving us a sell trade.
06:46So, what I'm going to go here and do is telling us to sell on the EURUSD.
06:51So, I'm just going to go ahead and take a sell trade on the EURUSD,
06:57the 30-second sell trade.
06:59And let's see how it goes.
07:03If the trade loses, what we're going to implement is a strategy called a
07:08Martingale strategy where if that particular side's trade loses,
07:13I'm going to double up.
07:15In other words, I'm going to put $2,000 and then go back to the signal on trading view
07:25and take a trade.
07:27But let's work this first trade and see what happens.
07:33So, the trading view signal recommended a one-minute sell trade.
07:39And by the way, these are five-second candles here.
07:42You can also trade the – change the – it goes from five seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds
07:50to one-minute candles.
07:51Here, you can change them up.
07:55Let's – okay.
07:58So, I think – let's see here.
08:00We check here.
08:02We can expand our orders here.
08:06And that trade was in the money here.
08:10So, I generated a return of $730.
08:14Okay.
08:15So, let's go back to the technical indicator here on trading view.
08:21What you do is you hit the one-minute, the five-minute.
08:25Then, in order to reset the indicator, I'll click on one-minute again.
08:31Okay.
08:31It's telling me to sell again.
08:33So, let's go ahead and take a put trade for a sell trade here and see what happens.
08:43There's a timer here, a countdown timer to the left here.
08:47Currently, the trade is in our favor here.
08:49It's showing green on the put trade.
08:56So, let's monitor this trade and wait for the expiration.
09:00It gives you the countdown clock as well.
09:04And there's a 73% rate of return.
09:08In order to grow your account – and another good thing I like about Close Option is they don't have
09:16OTC currencies.
09:17In other words, OTCs are synthetic currencies.
09:21These are real prices that you see on the – like any regular price feed like a Wanda or any
09:33other trading platform.
09:36It uses real price feeds.
09:39Okay.
09:40So, we managed to eke out another win here using our trading signals here.
09:46So, you see another $730 return strictly on the demo.
09:54But the point I was trying to make is that the same charts you see on the demo account on
10:03Close Option is the same chart you're going to see on the real account.
10:07As a matter of fact, let's do a quick look.
10:16Let's go to the trade room again, and this is the real trading account here.
10:22Let's load up the real account data.
10:27And these are the same candles.
10:29They're the same exact candles.
10:31No synthetics on Close Option.
10:36If you're concerned about trading OTCs or synthetic prices, Close Option doesn't play that.
10:45All right.
10:46Strictly real trading prices, real historic and data – real historic data.
10:54Okay.
10:55So, let's go back to our demo.
11:03Go in the trade room here.
11:06Let's load up the demo account.
11:13All right.
11:13So, when you reload – I reloaded the demo account, so I have to go back and change all the
11:18settings here.
11:19All right.
11:20Let's go back to one minute because we're going to be looking at those one-minute signals on TradingView.
11:28Let's increase our trade amount here to $1,000.
11:33The whole idea also is you don't want to trade huge amounts.
11:37You want to grow your account.
11:38In order to grow your account on any binary options trading platform, you need to be winning two out of
11:45every three trades in general.
11:49So, 66% win rate you need.
11:53Okay.
11:55So, let's go to the technical analysis tool on the EURUSD.
12:02And, okay.
12:04Let's re-check the signal.
12:08It's telling us to sell again.
12:11So, let's go ahead and put in another put, another sell trade.
12:18Okay.
12:19And see what happens.
12:32What I'm trying to explain is eventually you will get a loss.
12:39There will be a loss with this type of trading.
12:42But the whole idea is we're going to double up on the next trade and using, it's called the Martingale
12:50system, where if this particular trade is a loss, as a matter of fact, it looks like it's going against
12:58us.
12:59Currently, even though the technical indicator gave us a sell signal, there could be a loss coming up here.
13:15So, okay.
13:16So, actually, that trade also won here.
13:21If we check our trade here, that was another win.
13:27So, three wins in a row.
13:31So, okay.
13:32Let me go back to the technical analysis tool on TradingView.
13:42Let's recalibrate again.
13:44Click on one minute again.
13:46Okay.
13:46Let's see what five minutes.
13:48Five minutes is telling us to sell.
13:50The one minute technical indicator is telling us to sell.
13:54So, let's go back on close option and take another sell trade.
13:58Okay.
14:15Five-second candles.
14:23Okay.
14:24So far here, the trade clock is at 31 seconds.
14:41Eighteen seconds left.
14:44And this trade appears to be in our favor as well.
14:53Five seconds.
14:57The trade is about to close here.
14:59If you look at the left here of the panel.
15:02Okay.
15:02So, that's another winner.
15:04Wow.
15:04Okay.
15:05So, so far we're four for four.
15:08What you do next?
15:09Let's go back to the indicator again.
15:14The trading view indicator.
15:16And, okay, it's still at sell.
15:21So, let's go back.
15:23Take another put trade.
15:26Another sell trade here.
15:39Let's monitor this trade.
15:43Now, I was expecting one of these trades to lose.
15:51So, so that I can double up on the trade.
15:53Go back to the technical indicator and take another trade.
15:56That way we can recover the loss of the trade.
16:00The previous trade.
16:01The losing trade.
16:02Okay.
16:02So, let's see here.
16:04This thing might actually.
16:06All right.
16:06It's popping back up.
16:16Okay.
16:17This trade could be first loss.
16:26Okay.
16:27So, this trade actually.
16:31Okay.
16:32That was a loss here.
16:34Okay.
16:34So, that trade lost.
16:35So, what we're going to do is.
16:37We're going to double up on the next trade.
16:40Make it $2,000.
16:41That way I can recover the loss of this current trade.
16:45And hopefully gain some additional profit on the current trade.
16:53All right.
16:53So, we're still seeing a sell signal here, I believe.
16:57Okay.
16:58So, we set the signal here.
17:03So, it's telling us to sell again.
17:05So, let's just go ahead and take a $2,000 sell trade.
17:11Now, if that trade loses.
17:14How Martingale works is.
17:17The next trade is going to be a $4,000 trade.
17:21All right.
17:23So, let's.
17:25In order to recover the loss of the previous two trades.
17:31And to gain some additional profits.
17:33But let's see how this trade goes.
17:35It appears to be a general bearish trend right now.
17:38That's why the technical indicator is telling us a consistent sell here.
17:45So, we want to roll with the trend in the Euro USD.
17:58Okay.
18:00Let's see here.
18:02Okay.
18:13So, that trade was in the money.
18:15You see.
18:16So, I was able to recover the loss of this trade by doubling up on the trade, Martingale strategy, and
18:24thereby growing my account.
18:25That's the whole idea of this trading strategy.
18:29All right.
18:30Let's go back to the technical indicator here.
18:33And it's still telling us.
18:35Okay.
18:36Now, it's giving our five minutes, giving a strong sell.
18:39On the one minute, it's giving us a strong sell.
18:42So, what we do is we go back to the $1,000.
18:45Right.
18:45We start again at $1,000 and take us.
18:47Let's go ahead and take a put trade, a sell trade.
18:51As the technical indicator just told us right currently, there's a strong sell here.
18:59Hopefully, everybody can see this on the chart here.
19:05Strong sell.
19:06Let's go back to the trading platform here.
19:10Just because it tells us it's a strong sell doesn't mean it will actually be in the money here.
19:19We can still lose the trade, but the idea is we want to trade generally with whatever trend the technical
19:25indicator is giving us on trading view here.
19:29So, let's see the results.
19:31Let's check out the results of this trade.
19:34Okay.
19:34It's pushing.
19:35All right.
19:39Okay.
19:40So, actually, yeah, it is pushing downward here.
19:48Okay.
19:52All right.
19:53So, that trade was in the money.
19:54All right.
19:55So, I'm not going to go too far in the trading session, but I just wanted to explain how to
20:00recover your loss, how to take trades using this technical analysis indicator.
20:06It's a pretty powerful indicator here.
20:09So, if you're interested in checking it out and checking out the strategy, I'll have a link to the close
20:19option trading platform in the video comments and or the video description or the channel bio.
20:27I've been trading on close option for many years.
20:31I've been trading on close option for many years since 2018.
20:33I'm very close with the staff at close option.
20:38So, that's basically it.
20:42Also, if you decide to use real money and using this strategy, you really need to have, you know, maybe
20:50about $100 in your account because that way, if the trade results in a loss, you will have to double
20:57up on your trade.
20:58So, you need to have enough in your balance to do that.
21:02Okay.
21:04And, for instance, if the trade is another, if it results in another loss, like double the loss, then you
21:14have to take double that amount.
21:16Okay.
21:17Like I did in this video here.
21:20All right.
21:20So, anyway, thank you for watching and I'll see you in the next video.
21:24Gus Schmidt.
21:26Let's see.
21:26Let's see.
21:27Let's see.
21:27Let's see.
21:28Let's see.
21:28Let's see.
21:29Let's see.
21:29Let's see.
21:30Let's see.
21:30Let's see.
21:30Let's see.
