00:00Three teen suspects were arrested in Austin, Texas, after police say they carried out 12
00:04random drive-by shootings in one night. A man was shot in the back while walking his dog.
00:08A woman was reportedly shot at while having a conversation outside a store,
00:12and even firefighters standing near a fire truck were allegedly shot at.
00:15According to police, one was reportedly just 15, another was 17. And this wasn't just bullets
00:20hitting empty buildings. This shooting spree hit apartment complexes, homes, and even two fire
00:25stations. In less than 24 hours, cars were stolen, guns were stolen, four people were struck,
00:30and one person was critically injured. And now Austin's police chief, Lisa Davis, says
00:34investigators are still trying to figure out why these young people allegedly went on this
00:39shooting spree. I don't know what a motive is. I don't know what motive would drive anybody to come
00:42and drive around senselessly in this city and multiple parts of the city shooting. So yes,
00:48police say the suspects are now in custody, but that almost makes the story more disturbing,
00:52because this wasn't some grown organized crew. It's how a 15-year-old allegedly gets to the point
00:56where he can help turn part of a major American city into a lockdown zone.
