00:00Here in York at this infrastructure project which is really fantastic this
00:03is going to generate seven and a half thousand jobs I've been talking to some
00:06of the apprentices and I think infrastructure projects housing projects
00:11take too long and we've given huge powers now to mayors to move things
00:15along quickly I'm meeting mayors later on in York to get them to use the powers
00:21that we've given them to go really quickly whether it's mass transit in
00:24West Yorkshire whether it's this site here at York Central we really need to
00:27get things moving but we also need to send a another message which is we're
00:32not prepared to have people blocking the whole time where we want a new town in
00:37London and Enfield council are trying to say we can't do it we're going to push
00:41through that because this is the time for speeding projects up getting those
00:45houses built some of the apprentices I'm talking to here today desperately want to
00:49get on the housing ladder so we have to bear in mind who we're doing this for
00:52and so this is a good news day about how we get infrastructure and housing done
00:56more quickly
