00:13I want to start by saying it is my honor to present this award today to my very good friends
00:17and my favorite band of music today, the Red Clay Strays.

00:26The Red Clay Strays are without a doubt my favorite band today and I don't think any of us would
00:30even know who they were if it wasn't for FM radio today.
00:33So I want to say a big shout out to radio and everything that they are doing in the year
00:362026. Thank you.
00:40The name is the first thing that stood out to me about the band because they are just that.
00:45It's so fitting. They're a group of stray individuals from the red dirt of Alabama and no two are alike.
00:51Brandon with a voice like Elvis in the body of a scarecrow.
00:55On guitars we have Drew who plays like he's trying to win his kids back in the divorce.
01:00Zach who is so talented that he could do literally anything yet he chooses to look like he runs a
01:05Waffle House sex cult.
01:09John is one of the baddest drummers on the face of the planet and there's not a chance he can
01:13even spell rhythm.
01:14So I appreciate that. Sevens. He's one of the baddest keyboard players on the face of the earth even though
01:21he looks like a Charles Manson Muppet.
01:23And of course there's Andy's bravery for being the only openly gay member of the bands.
01:29He's never been vocal about it but his mustache says a lot of words.
01:33But what happens when you bring these misfits together is truly God given.
01:36It's a timeless sound that sends us back to music's golden age at a time when the world sometimes feels
01:41like it's lost its soul.
01:43God gave us the red clay strays.
01:45I've never met a more genuine group of men with full hearts and a truly generational talent.
01:50I know firsthand that your music does matter and it can change the world.
01:54I thank you for allowing me to be in one of your music videos.
01:57It's a memory that I will hold close to my heart forever and I thank you for that.
