00:12Because Jumanji is one of my childhood movies
00:14Yeah
00:16I enjoyed a lot the movie
00:18And I wanted to ask you
00:20Nowadays we're with this trend in Hollywood
00:22Remaking movies from 20 years ago
00:24And why Jumanji?
00:26What does Jumanji have?
00:28What dragged you to the project?
00:30Because it's kind of a special movie
00:32Yeah well you know it's the opportunity
00:34I think it was the opportunity to
00:36To create a Jumanji
00:38And deliver it to a whole new generation
00:40And the elements of the original Jumanji
00:42Certainly with Robin Williams
00:44And the performance he was able to capture
00:46All those elements are recipes
00:48For an even
00:50Hopefully fingers crossed
00:52If you make it right
00:54An even greater success
00:56Than what the original was
00:57And so you know
00:59The hesitance by some fans
01:01When we first made the announcement
01:03That we were going to make the movie
01:04Made sense
01:05And we got it
01:06We understood
01:07But then at the same time
01:08Our narrative was
01:09Just trust us
01:11We hold this project
01:13With very careful hands
01:15And we just want to make a fantastic movie
01:17So you know
01:18A lot of times
01:19Everybody sets out to make movies
01:20With great intention
01:21They don't always work out that way
01:23But fortunately
01:24As the movie has been
01:25Shown around the world
01:28More and more people
01:30Have fallen in love with the movie
01:31And certainly the ones who were fans
01:33Of the original too
01:34I think you have to
01:36Understand the time
01:37You know
01:38When you talk about
01:40Your childhood
01:42It's an amazing memory for you
01:44But there's children of this generation
01:48Who have no idea
01:49What Jumanji was
01:50You know
01:51There's children
01:52That will not even understand
01:54What it was
01:56Or how big it was
01:57And to bring something to them
02:00And give them a moment to be familiar
02:04With the title of Jumanji
02:05That could then allow them to go back
02:07And then see the original one
02:09And understand that
02:10We didn't want to redo or recreate
02:11We wanted to continue
02:12This is a world that can continue
02:14It can only get bigger
02:15It can only get better
02:16And in no way shape or form
02:19Is that ever to discredit
02:20What was already done
02:21It's to enhance
02:22And I think within the times
02:24You always want to progress
02:27Not digress
02:28So this was the studio's moment to progress
02:32To take a piece of content that they had
02:34And say you know what
02:35Why not continue this world
02:36Why haven't we did this
02:38What's stopping us from doing this
02:40Let's go out and let's get some people
02:41That we think can bring it to justice
02:42And that can take it over the top
02:44And those were the actors
02:45That they casted in this film
02:46And I think we all did a great job
02:48Of taking the material that was given into us
02:51And bringing it to life
02:52And making that stuff on paper
02:53Really really pop and stand out
02:55To where that younger generation
02:58That may not be familiar
02:59Where they're going to be satisfied
03:00And that older generation
03:01That's familiar with the original
03:02Will be blown away
03:03By what we bought to them
03:04Yeah it's a great part
03:05Because it works sideways
03:07It's perfect
03:08So you two worked together previously
03:11And we can see your chemistry reprised
03:14In this Humanity sequel
03:15And I want to ask you
03:17All of you
03:18How is the chemistry
03:19With all the actors instead
03:21Because it looked like you had fun actually
03:24Shooting the movie
03:25So I want to talk me a little bit
03:27Nick why don't you take that
03:28Because we got real close
03:29So why don't you tell them
03:30We did
03:31You guys did yeah
03:32How close we got
03:33Go ahead Nick
03:35You know my first day on set
03:37Was one of my biggest scenes
03:38So I was a little intimidated
03:39Stepping onto the set
03:40With all these guys
03:41Separate to that
03:42Just because they're truly brilliant
03:44At what they do
03:45I don't know
03:46Intimidated
03:47But you know the key
03:49The whole thing working
03:50Was the fact that
03:51They really set the tempo
03:52For the vibe on set
03:53And then Jake our director
03:54Also created a really good energy
03:56And I think it was just natural
03:57That we all became friends
03:58Had a good time making this movie
03:59With Jack Black around too
04:01It's hard not to have a good time
04:03And Kevin of course
04:04And Dwayne
04:05And Karen
04:06Yeah yeah
04:07But no it was a great group
04:09And I think it shows on camera
04:10And you know we really did have a good time
04:13Yeah look and in Hollywood
04:14You know there's not
04:15And when you make these movies
04:17It's not often I think
04:18That you can make an ensemble movie like this
04:20With an ensemble cast
04:22Of well known actors
04:25Compared to unknown actors
04:27And with this kind of material
04:30That's obviously big action and adventure
04:32But also comedy infused
04:34So you know I think we really got lucky
04:37In that
04:38And I am just a personal believer
04:40In like attracts like
04:42And you know Kevin and I have worked
04:44Multiple things together
04:45Two movies now
04:47And all these other projects we do
04:48And now all of us working together
04:50Like we all
04:52Like everyone's like
04:53Pretty decent human beings
04:55And good human beings
04:56But just had the best time
04:58And the chemistry was great
04:59And also you know
05:01That's one of those things
05:02That is not often talked about
05:05Or written about
05:06But this idea of chemistry
05:08And everybody really getting along
05:09And the idea that the chemistry
05:11Actually comes across on screen
05:13That's a very real thing
05:15Which is why everybody
05:16Who's watching Jumanji now
05:17You know says there's this
05:19When they leave the theater
05:20Like wow that was great
05:21Yeah you can notice the
05:22Yeah
05:23It's great

05:25You couldn't tell that I hated him
