00:00Hello, I'm BrazenSkull from DOSMAN Publishing, and this is The Henchman.
00:07The Henchman is our 90s-fueled, open-world action game developed by Alex Van Brokz.
00:12The game takes inspiration from 90s crime thrillers and cult classic PS1 games.
00:17We've put a keen effort into capturing the look and sound of the best games the 90s had
00:22to offer, whilst introducing the quality of life flourishes you'd expect from a modern
00:26title.
00:27The Henchman's driving was inspired by the Driver series, with exaggerated steering and
00:31a dedicated power slammer, while the action matches the brake-neck pace worthy of a Boona
00:36shooter.
00:37You'll be combining slides, rolls, melee attacks and firearms as you navigate an oppressive,
00:43old-school crime sandbox.
00:45Set in the city of New Queens in the year 1990 and 1996, we've tightened our open world,
00:50putting less emphasis on scale and much more on packing as many corners as we can with challenges.
00:56You can participate in survival challengers and brutal gang wars, or seek out the hidden
01:00Henchman tokens that make your character stronger.
01:03Outside of missions, there are no mini-map markers to help you.
01:06You're encouraged to explore the city in your stride and be rewarded for your curiosity.
01:11We also have mixtapes hidden around the game, featuring tracks from other DOS man games.
01:15So if the game's thumping techno soundtrack doesn't do it for you, why not switch it up?
01:24I recommend the Dead Trash soundtrack, if I say so myself.
01:29But the best part is, the game is designed to be a couch co-op experience from start to finish,
01:34with missions often varying to accommodate a second player.
01:38Due to this, we've taken great care to make sure the game plays perfectly with a controller,
01:42so you won't have to fight for who gets to play with the keyboard and mouse.
01:45If you're a little too far away from your friends, then don't worry, we've got full Steam remote
01:50play support as well, so you can play with friends online using just one copy of the game.
01:55But for those who prefer to play alone, we've got you covered too.
01:57The game plays beautifully on Steam Deck.
02:00Last but not least, we know not everybody's mid-90s gaming experiences were the same,
02:06so we made sure the graphics styles and settings can be changed the way your heart desires.
02:11You can alter or disable the CRT effects, or turn on texture filtering for that hardware-accelerated
02:17PC look. The henchman drops on PC this May 26th, so if you're interested,
02:23you can wishlist the game on Steam right now.
