00:00There was a lot of talk with people online saying, you know, making critiques of her
00:03as a character.
00:04And I think a lot of it came from a misogynistic place.
00:07I was wondering if critiques affect you at all and how you view Esmeralda as a character
00:11and to reconcile.
00:13It's fascinating because you're telling something to me completely new.
00:17Because I feel I'm getting so much love from playing Esmeralda.
00:22I don't see her as an antagonist.
00:25I see her as someone that in order to survive, she needs to fight.
00:33She feels threatened and she's a lonely woman.
00:38She doesn't have the support of a man.
00:40She's a single mom.
00:42She is an immigrant.
00:43She has so many weak points and she's scared to lose the little power that she got.
00:51She feels that everyone could be a threat and everyone could be that one that make her
00:58lose power.
00:59And I love her dearly.
01:01Like, I think it's a, of course, she's manipulative.
01:05To me, it was really tough to accept the idea that she was so nasty.
01:10When she falls in love, she doesn't even realize that someone is manipulating her.
01:15And somehow she's looking to be loved.
01:19I think we'll see a bit more of this in season two.
01:23And hopefully these people will understand her fragility, her vulnerability.
01:30So, as soon as the
01:30I think the player will remember her.
