00:00here we go yeah oh yeah it's you and me romeo international odyssey first of all nice to meet
00:06you okay nice to meet you too i think okay we're gonna start with you this is this is where
00:11we're
00:12going as gorgeous as you are i'm gonna let you know right now we gotta break up because i'm not
00:16going to widow's bay i'm not i'm not coming to pick you up i'm not getting on the boat
00:21i might facetime you but i'm not coming i'm not coming then you're not worth my time
00:26come on what do you mean you don't want to come to our widow's bay you don't want to
00:31encounter a sea hag and a clown killer and a thog that might kill you come on what's your problem
00:37lighten up yeah all for love of course i don't i did not know that i was going to get
00:47hooked
00:47now i'm being honest i did not know i was gonna get hooked because after the first episode i was
00:54like
00:54okay cool and then the second episode i was like wait it's funny but it's scaring the fuck out of
00:59me at the same time i'm kind of like don't know what's going on when you jumped into this what
01:03did
01:03you fall in love with first the character the writing or the cast the writing and the character
01:10i mean they're sort of together aren't they but like the writing it was such a funny script
01:14and the world was so brilliantly drawn and i you know you don't always read scripts and laugh out
01:21loud and with this one it was just expertly done of course it was it was katie dippold
01:27and her amazing team but yeah and then of course hero mariah attached to it and then of course matthew
01:33reese leading it steven root dale dickey jeff hiller kevin carroll you know it's like it was like dream
01:39an absolute no-brainer for me you and matthew's back and forth is the most hilarious thing
01:46but i love the the hospital scene where you're sitting on the bed and you're like talking he's
01:50like yeah he's not in a coma that's not the point and then it's like this whole thing or uh
01:55internally i'm 28 it's just like you guys are hilarious is that y'all's first interaction well we
02:02didn't really like i hadn't met matthew before when when we did this but there was just a kind of
02:09unspoken like i don't know it just kind of worked and we didn't like overthink it i don't know what
02:14what i would say about it we just kind of got on with it really and enjoyed you know we
02:18have similar
02:19senses of humor i think no it comes across screen because it's like i don't know if they acting or
02:24playing with each other it's that fluid the conversations that you guys have is that fluid
02:28with with matthew like you know he goes in and out of the welsh accent the american accent so i
02:33was
02:33like going into the brit out of the america you know it was just like it did just kind of
02:38just
02:38become like what's real i don't know now are you a superstitious person well actors are like i would
02:45say actors are kind of naturally um i used to salute magpies but i don't anymore do you know what
02:51magpie like is this not an american thing magpies the bird i've heard i've heard them but no nobody goes
02:58to the story like hey let me get a couple magpies no no so you know i used to salute
03:03the bird and
03:03then i was like why am i giving power to these birds just get get off this loop in your
03:09head so i
03:09don't do that anymore but yeah sure what do you want people to to grasp with widow's bae it's a
03:15world to escape into i mean i love that you know as an audience member escaping into a world that's
03:22sort of comforting and scary and and funny all at once it's like um it's just unlike anything that's
03:29out there at the moment i guess but i just want them to feel invested in the community and root
03:33for
03:33the characters um and want to and despite what you said at the beginning i want them to want to
03:39come
03:40and stay in widow's bae
03:41you
