The government will launch a large-scale operation aimed at reducing flooding across Metro Manila. Executive Secretary Ralph Recto met with officials from the Transportation Department, D-P-W-H, M-M-D-A, and the Labor Department. They discussed how to coordinate the flood control program. The cleanup drive will be rolled out as soon as possible to ensure Metro Manila is better prepared for the rainy season. Thousands of workers will be deployed to assist in clearing drainage systems, esteros, rivers, and other critical waterways throughout the metropolis.
