00:00What we did with King's College Hospital was really initiate a program of testing for people
00:05who normally wouldn't be tested for HIV, but it's a program that was embraced by the National Health Service
00:12and it was a template program. It's had a great success. We've saved 32 lives so far, which is amazing.
00:19This is something that they can now wheel out to other hospitals around the country
00:24and ultimately save hundreds of millions of pounds. Because if people know what their status is,
00:34then it helps so much and it helps with stigma and it helps stop the spread of the disease.
00:40And that's what we're all about. We can treat this disease if we know what the status is.
00:45And if you know what your status is, you can live a long time. You can live forever.
00:50It's 25 years of extraordinary progress and success in the fight against HIV AIDS.
00:55We're down to one pill a day. One pill a day can allow people to live a full life with
01:00this virus.
01:01Really because of all of you and all the support that you give us, we are still able to do
01:05what we do.
01:06And I'm very proud to say that tonight is the highest grossing Elton John AIDS Foundation event ever in central
01:11London.
01:12So give yourselves a big round of applause.
