00:41challenge is how to keep the character alive, keep the internal engine going and make it fit where we
00:48were going with the story later on. It was tricky, a very tricky subtle thing. You know Steve is
00:57brilliant, he's the wild exotic flower in this movie and brilliant and to keep his brother Stan
01:05alive in this process and then take over the story at a certain point. In some ways I had to
01:12compose
01:12this character and the performance in a way that sometimes I don't have to and be very careful
01:20scene by scene where where he was coming from and what I was allowing him to express.
