00:00So I went on the pill when I was 15. I had years and years and years of what I
00:04can only describe
00:05as like borderline hell on various different pills. And for various reasons, they're no longer
00:11an option to me. I had to come off the pill when I was about 28. And fun, also fun
00:16fact about me,
00:17I am one of the 5% of women that their uterus rejects a coil, which I can say from
00:24personal
00:24experience is probably the most painful thing that's ever happened to me. So those aren't
00:31options for me, really, either of those. And that is also true of a lot of women. There is also,
00:36there are of course risks associated with getting your tubes tied, as there are with an unwanted
00:43pregnancy. So either getting an abortion, there's also a huge amount of risk involved in childbirth,
00:48there are risks involved with the coil, there are risks involved with the implant, there are risks
00:52involved with the pill. Every single option that I have involves risk. The job for doctors is to
00:59inform patients of those risks and allow them to make decisions based on their own feeling. And
01:04it's not for doctors to decide what I might or might not regret.
