00:00I want to take the opportunity to announce that I've decided to end my Formula 1 career
00:07in this moment here, on Monday.
00:11And yeah, so to explain, it's been ever since I started, when I was six years old,
00:18I had a very, very clear dream, and that was to become Formula 1 world captain.
00:24And it was very, very clear in my mind, as long as I can think when I was growing up.
00:29And now I've reviewed that, now I've put everything into it for 25 years of racing,
00:34with the help of everybody around me, with the help of fans, and the help of my team,
00:38and my family, and everybody, and my friends, I've managed to achieve that this year.
00:42So it's been an incredible, incredible experience for me, or I'll remember forever.
00:48And yeah, so at the same time though, it's been very, very tough also, you know,
00:54because the last two years, losing to Lewis, were extremely difficult moments for me,
01:01which fueled my motivation in a way that I didn't even know was possible,
01:05to fight back, and to achieve my dream finally.
01:09So this year, yeah, it was extremely tough, because I put absolutely everything into it.
01:13I didn't leave a stone unturned from Austin last year, really,
01:16where I suffered a lot after that loss.
01:20And yeah, so I pushed like crazy in all directions,
01:24and along with all my, you know, everybody who was involved,
01:27which is also my family.
