00:41Don't touch my rock.
00:43As one in five Americans move to the suburbs,
00:47neighbor complaints doubled.
00:48The out of here, you broke bitch.
00:50People are spending more time at home than ever before.
00:53They have gotten to really know their neighbors for better.

00:59No!
01:01I'm suing the f*** out of you.
01:03You got me sorry!
01:04From home sweet home to battle zone.
01:07What's up?
01:08Hey, hey, hey.
01:08These are.
01:09This is harassment, you fat piece of .
01:16When neighbors share a pool, it's usually a splashy good time.
01:22Until someone makes waves.
01:24You are all rude.
01:25You just come here like you own.
01:26It's rude.
01:28But on this blazing day at the local pool in Sacramento, California.
01:32Shame!
01:33Shame!
01:35The real heat comes from the neighbors.
01:37Shame!
01:39Shame!
01:39Shame!
01:41Pool goers shout shame at a group leaving.
01:44After the group's complaints about two women kissing in the pool spark controversy.
01:48How is that?
01:50That's shame.
01:51F*** out of you.
01:53Shame!
01:54Shame!
01:55And one of the women stops to ask a question.
01:58Do you guys have any children?

02:24Shame!
02:25Shame!
02:26Shame!
02:26Shame!
02:27Shame!
02:29After the video goes viral, a lawyer for the women who leave says the reason is not homophobia.
02:35He insists that the kissing couple's pull-side behavior is too X-rated for children.
02:40The couple in question denies their actions are inappropriate.
02:43It seems the pool may be shallow, but the neighborhood drama runs deep.
02:49Yeah!
02:50Yeah!
02:51Yeah!
02:51Yeah!
02:53Yeah!
02:53Yeah!
02:53Yeah!
02:53Yeah!
02:53Yeah!
02:54Yeah!
02:55Yeah!
02:57Yeah!
03:02Yeah!
03:03When neighbors get woken up by a racket they don't hit snooze, they hit back.
03:08We have asked you 900 times.
03:12Literally, one night home.
03:14Yeah, you're a piece of s**t.
03:17And one Oklahoma resident says these neighbors have turned the block into a nonstop noise zone.
03:24This s**t's about to pop off.
03:26The woman in the black dress hurls something at the pickup.
03:30The man recording claims this is part of a long-running dispute between her and the driver.
03:35And it's not over yet.
03:38He's coming back, he's coming back.
03:40He's coming back.
03:41A shirtless man appears, and he also seems to have beef with the driver of the vehicle.
03:50And the neighbor recording expresses his displeasure with the events unfolding outside his home.
03:56You know what it is with me?
03:58You know what it is with me?
04:00Exactly, you know what it is with me?
04:03S**t, bitch.
04:04S**t my s**t.
04:05And losing his cool, the neighbor decides to face off with the people he believes are creating so much disturbance.
04:12S**t, you're down to you, man.
04:14You stay up all night with s**t.
04:16Tell me what...
04:17If you cut it off at 11, if you cut it off at 11, I wouldn't even s**t with you.
04:22The neighbor recording claims that the pair live in the encampment to the right of his home, and he would
04:27like them to make less noise, but they are not backing down.
04:43With no end in sight, the neighbor threats just keep coming.
04:48My wife's going to s**t you up.
04:49How about that?
04:50Let's go to the streets, man.
04:51You ain't going to do s**t, right?
04:53No, let's go.
04:53Let's do it.
04:54Nah.
04:55I'll shoot you.
04:57I'm going to shoot you.
05:00At this point, the couple goes back to the encampment, but the neighbor recording continues his rant.
05:06All right, hello, my wife's home.
05:08She said come out to the street, and she'll beat that ass.
05:11Come on.
05:12Come on.
05:13Nah, for real.
05:14Come on.
05:15Come bring you in, you mans.
05:17Come on.
05:18Come the f**k on, you f**king f**king nut bitch.
05:22The shouting dies down for now, but the skirmishes between the man and his unwanted neighbors continue daily.
05:31The truth is that a neighbor who can't find peace won't stay quiet for long.
05:37You are in the street.
05:38You are f**king.
05:39You are f**king.
05:48For 16-year-old Jackson Smith from Knoxville, Tennessee, fishing in local ponds isn't just about reeling them in.
05:55It's also about meeting neighbors.
05:57Most people walk up to me and be like, hey, man, how are you doing?
06:01Like, you catching anything?
06:02I feel like a lot of people would much rather see kids outside doing something like fishing rather than, like,
06:09sitting inside playing video games or doing stuff like drinking and smoking.
06:14One day, Jackson and his friend decide to fish in a neighborhood pond.
06:18It's only 15 minutes from his house, but they have never been there before.
06:22There is no gay, there is no, no fishing signs that we could see.
06:27I mean, I've only had, like, positive experiences fishing these ponds, and I just thought it would be the same
06:32thing when I went to this pond, and clearly it was not.
06:36Passing on private property.
06:43Don't.
06:44Don't threaten us.
06:44You're trespassing on private property, young man.
06:46We're waiting for the police to come.
06:48We're waiting for the police to come.
06:48Get out of here.
06:49Leave.
06:49No, we're going to talk to them.
06:50Leave.
06:50We're going to talk to them.
06:52Jackson says the man called the police earlier, and so he and his friend want to stay so the cops
06:57can sort out the dispute.
06:58But the man is getting more enraged.
07:02You want that phone to go in the lake?
07:04Back away from him.
07:05Walk out of here.
07:06Back up.
07:07Test me.
07:08Back up from me.
07:09His face was all red.
07:11He just, like, really pissed off.
07:14Like, he looked like he was trying to, like, intimidate us.
07:16Get out of here.
07:17He said he's...
07:18We're just going to wait.
07:19We're not going to mess with anything.
07:20Get out of here.
07:20My heart was just going crazy.
07:22You're fishing in a private lake.
07:24My journaling was really high.
07:26Get the hell out of here now.
07:30Get out of here.
07:32He touched me earlier.
07:33Just as the man makes to leave, he has something more to say.
07:37When those poles get thrown into the lake, I'm going to snap it in half.
07:40No, you're not, because the police are going to press charge on you.
07:42You're going to be arrested.
07:43In an instant, the man takes things to a whole new level.
07:46Don't do it.
07:48Yo, don't touch my rod.
07:50Don't touch my rod.
07:52Yo, you can't do that.
07:54What the is wrong with me?
07:56I had just recently purchased that rod, and that rod was around, like, $200.
08:02And my friend was using it for the day.
08:04And when he broke it, I was just, I was just actually shocked.
08:09You guys believe politely.
08:10Yeah, but you can't break my property.
08:12Yeah, I didn't see anything saying that.
08:14What are you doing?
08:15What are you doing, young **** you?
08:17At this point, Jackson stops recording.
08:20Despite video of the fishing rod being broken, police say Jackson has no grounds to file a complaint
08:25because he's on private property without permission.
08:28Looking back, we realized that we were actually not supposed to be fishing that pond.
08:32There was a sign on the other side of the pond that we didn't see.
08:37Get out of here!
08:38But when the video goes viral, Jackson is surprised by the support of the fishing community.
08:43Me and my friend, in total, probably got sent over 10 rods combined.
08:48However, this day teaches Jackson a valuable lesson about being a good neighbor.
08:53In the future, like, looking back on this situation, if I'm going to go into a new neighborhood
08:57that I haven't fished yet, I'm definitely going to be double-checking
09:01and just making sure that everybody's okay with me fishing there.
09:07Yo, don't touch my rock!
09:15For some neighbors...
09:16Where's the camera?
09:18...security cameras cause confusion.
09:21Where's the camera?
09:22But for others, they are a chance to make a good impression.
09:29Arriving home after curfew, this teenager uses the doorbell cam as a live feed to his mom's vacation.
09:36All right, Mom.
09:38You got me, all right?
09:40I'm busted.
09:41You got these fancy ring cameras.
09:44I'll tell you one thing, Mom.
09:47You ain't as clever as you think, all right?
09:50Because you ain't got me.
09:52Because I'm going to get in this house, and I'm going to put the air on 62.
09:56And then you're not going to do anything, because you're in the behind-mits.
10:02Because in this neighborhood, security cameras don't just catch crime, they catch comedy.
10:08All right, Mom.
10:09You got me, all right?
10:11I'm busted.
10:19San Francisco is a city of free spirits.
10:23This dude just jumped in the damn water.
10:26And even the seed lines take a backseat to this nude guy.
10:34In one sunny afternoon in the Castro District, a local bar owner is recording an unusual, intense situation.
10:42A tourist is allegedly being threatened by a man dressed in a pirate costume with what looks like a blowtorch,
10:49while a stark naked neighbor looks on in shock.
10:52Suddenly, another man appears and grabs the would-be weapon.
10:57But the wannabe pirate lashes out.
11:03Without warning, another naked man charges in, fully exposed and fearless.
11:15As the unclothed hero prevails, the other naked man is on the phone to the police,
11:21and the tourist manages to escape from harm's way.
11:23Seeing the man dressed as a pirate on the sidewalk, the man recording ushers another passerby to safety.
11:31Come here, come, come.
11:32Why did I come in?
11:33Come in, please.
11:38Later, the man dressed as a pirate is arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
11:44The naked men leave.
11:45It turns out that they are known in the community for their uninhibited afternoon strolls.
11:51But it just shows that neighborhood heroes don't all wear capes.
11:55Some of them wear nothing at all.
12:06When election season comes around, many neighbors show their preferences with yard signs.
12:12This year in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the local election hits close to home from neighborhood pastor, 38-year-old Victor Martinez.
12:20Hey, north side, Victor Martinez here.
12:24Victor is disappointed when the yard signs he puts up to support his campaign to become a member of the
12:29council are damaged.
12:32One Saturday morning, Victor answers his front door and sees a man he believes lives in the area.
12:38But they have never spoken before.
12:41Hey, how's it going, man?
12:42At first, the exchange is cordial.
12:45But suddenly, the neighbor says something outrageous.
12:48Yeah?
12:49What junkie do you eat out of?
12:51Uh, if you're going to come over here and mess with me...
12:54I'm not messing with you, man.
12:55I'm going to ask for you to leave, please.
12:56Which part of labor is yours?
12:57I'm recording you.
12:58E, oh, sorry.
12:59There's a sign that says...
13:00Which part of the Democrat are you?
13:02If you don't leave, I'm going to call the police.
13:04What's your head?
13:04Please don't call myself.
13:06Can you leave right now or I'm calling the police?
13:08The neighbor seems to take issue with Victor's posters.
13:11And as he leaves, he has more to say.
13:14You, you, you, you.
13:15Piece of...
13:16Thank you very much.
13:18How dare you come into our community?
13:19Thank you very much.
13:21Victor has been a pastor in the community for 27 years.
13:25So he doesn't appreciate being called an outsider.
13:29A few days later, Victor records what looks like the same man.
13:33And he seems to be putting Victor's posters into the trunk of his car.
13:37And then he leaves.
13:39Victor is hesitant about confronting the neighbor alone.
13:42Instead, he calls the police.
13:44Later that evening, they go to the man's home.
13:48The police talk to the neighbor.
13:50And Victor records the interaction.
13:52Let me ask the question.
13:54Do you want us to take the signs?
13:55Okay.
13:56And document that it will report to me.
13:58What?
13:59When you want me to throw your car?
14:01The police decide to tow away the neighbor's vehicle for evidence.
14:05As they believe it contains Victor's posters.
14:09The neighbor faces misdemeanor charges of theft.
14:12Victor also takes the neighbor to civil court and wins a restraining order.
14:16As well as $581 in damages and fees.
14:22Victor says he doesn't know why this neighbor targets him.
14:25But makes a video to tell his side of the story.
14:28You know what?
14:29People that don't like me in our community and support my opponents.
14:36You know, they're doing everything they can to distract me, to intimidate me.
14:40When the tally is in, Victor loses the election by 369 votes.
14:46However, he vows to stand again.
14:48Because in this neighborhood, everyone deserves a fair chance of success.
14:53You moron!
14:55Jesus!
15:02Foreman, Arkansas is a small, tightly knit town of a thousand residents.
15:07And the beloved home of 61-year-old Brenda Overturf.
15:11I've lived here my whole life.
15:13I was born here.
15:14We help our neighbors.
15:15And that's the way I like for it to be.
15:17For the past 25 years, Brenda has owned a ranch-style house on the outskirts of town.
15:23Next to Brenda live a husband and wife.
15:26I live on an acre land and they live on the other side of it.
15:29And then it's not good.
15:32Decades of neighborly harmony are tested.
15:34When a dispute erupts over the position of the shared property line.
15:38You see this?
15:40This is all my yard through here.
15:42According to Brenda, the neighbors believe a 100-by-10-foot strip is theirs.
15:47However, Brenda says a survey confirms it belongs to her.
15:51So she starts posting on social media for support.
15:55They won't quit mowing my yard.
15:57From this tree to that tree down there in between is all my yard.
16:02One day, when Brenda sees her neighbors putting up polls on what she claims is her property,
16:07she challenges them.
16:09I don't want that post on my property.
16:11I pay taxes on it and I bought it and paid for it and worked for it.
16:14So I guess I own it.
16:16I live here.
16:17You act like I'm not a good neighbor.
16:20We can't say that.
16:21Well, with how many times I've texted you to your doctor's appointments and everything.
16:25You have been good in lots of whites.
16:27I'll give you that.
16:28But I can't make you steal my land because of that.
16:30I can't.
16:33Fighting two people off my land trying to put posts up on my land.
16:37How hard is that for you to understand that they're on my land?
16:40It's my land.
16:41I was really stressed out.
16:43Well, I ain't putting back.
16:45Because I turn this my property and I don't have to.
16:50Nothing I can do to stop it.
16:52You're trying to put something on my property.
16:59I took these posts out over and over and you keep putting them back up.
17:03Take us to corn.
17:04We'll take you to corn.
17:05We'll do it.
17:06After that, Brenda puts up a fence where she says the property line is.
17:11And one day, Brenda calls the cops,
17:14saying her neighbor gets her string trimmer tangled in it
17:16because she is too close to her land.
17:19And now she's got her weed eater stuck in my fence
17:21and it's tearing up my fence some more on this other end.
17:25I'll see him when he gets here.
17:26Bye-bye.
17:27After talking to the neighbor, police say this is a civil matter.
17:31I try to be a good person.
17:32I try to live by the laws of the land, okay?
17:35I try to treat people the way I want to be treated.
17:39But when you get somebody that doesn't care,
17:41it makes you feel like, you know, you're being put down,
17:44you're being taken advantage of.
17:45A few months later, Brenda comes home to find something surprising.
17:50I did have a fence on the survey line.
17:52The fence Brenda puts up is gone,
17:55and Brenda suspects her neighbors are responsible.
17:58However, she maintains that the survey marker from years ago
18:02is where the fence should be.
18:04Okay, y'all.
18:04I actually did find right here where there is a spike.
18:09You know, he cut the cap off.
18:11The number of caps being cut off of it.
18:12But you can see where that post was right there.
18:15When the case goes to court,
18:17the judge awards the land to Brenda's neighbors,
18:20saying that even though their fence is 10 feet off
18:23from the surveyed property line,
18:25both sides treated it as the border for years,
18:28so legally it stays.
18:30Brenda rejects this argument,
18:31and she is disappointed with the outcome.
18:35They're putting the fence on my yard, y'all,
18:37and there's nothing I can do about it.
18:39However, Brenda says she comes to a realization.
18:42I just give up.
18:45I just said that that 10 feet land ain't worth me dying over
18:49or having a heart attack over
18:50or stressing myself out so bad, you know.
18:54And while Brenda doesn't speak to her next-door neighbors,
18:56she is thankful for her local community.
18:59I have a good life because I have people that love me.
19:02So I'm pretty content.
19:03I'm pretty happy.
19:04And I have good ducks, good, happy ducks.
19:06That's my ducks.
19:08All in this one little old mud hole
19:10in the middle of the yard.
19:17In some neighborhoods,
19:19sidewalks aren't just for strolling.
19:21It's where the performance begins.
19:26In every neighborhood has a sidewalk star.
19:29That's not a dog, it's a human.
19:30He walks.
19:32This one just struts on hind legs.
19:34That is crazy.
19:36It's showtime for this guy with his shirt off
19:39and his heart out.
19:41Crowdfunding his engagement ring,
19:43one passerby at a time.
19:47And this pair thinks it's just another day
19:50walking the sidewalk
19:55until an alien jumps out
19:58and sends them into orbit.
20:01And by now, neighbors know the sidewalk
20:03isn't just public property.
20:11It's public theater.
20:13Oh, no, no, no, no.
