00:00have not received that refund at all yet. There have been other girls as well who have not yet
00:06received. There are some others who did but there was still a lacking amount in the envelope that
00:12was given to them. At the same time, I had asked, you know, I wanted my mom and my fiance
00:18to watch
00:18so we asked them how much the tickets would be to the finals. They said $50 each but upon arriving
00:25at the finals there was no ticket and then some of the other parents were able to sit without
00:31paying anything. Now I understand that I could just be misunderstanding everything but so that's
00:37why I'm kind of here asking for transparency I guess as to what is the reality of what happened
00:42are we just all misunderstanding it and not truly understand like not truly getting what had
00:48happened but so there is a lot that I still like basically I'm owed $400 because of my companion
00:57and for myself so that's the area that I felt a little bit off about. I do hope that in
01:03future
01:04editions of any pageant that anybody joins you'll go in knowing exactly what you're expecting.
01:10It's okay if you if we're made to pay $100 if we knew ahead of time that we would have
01:16to pay to go to
01:17the beautiful pyramids. I definitely would ask or would like transparency there. Other things
01:24that you might have seen online there are things that I would not like to speak about only because
01:28some of them are from sources that are not ready to speak up yet but in my own personal opinion
01:34and
01:34experience those are the things that happened to me and I do not wish for that to happen on anybody
01:39else.
01:39So yes that is what happened but thank thank god that I'm back here um you know it whether or
01:46not the money comes back to me I don't really mind let's just work.
01:50It shows that when one person speaks up it can truly cause a ripple effect. I felt like because
01:57if she could have the courage to do something live and in person then I think a lot of us

02:02should also have the same courage as well so now today my the way that I'm approaching this is I

02:08feel like it's my it's my duty moving forward to stand up for pageant girls um but we make sure
02:14that
02:14we're also protected all the time especially that the pageant industry is growing and changing so
02:19I just feel like I have a duty now to make sure that I speak up about things that we
02:24went through
02:24so that we can also practice better discernment moving forward when we choose to do pageants.
