00:20The Weedmaps Museum of Weed was created to combat the stigma associated around cannabis
00:25and really to shed light on some of the social injustices that have resulted as a product
00:30of prohibition.
00:31The museum is a journey through time where we go from pre-prohibition and the early usages
00:36of hemp all the way through legalization and then with a strong focus on cannabis science
00:41and the future of the cannabis industry.
00:44Although there are a lot of photo opportunities and Instagrammable moments, we really took
00:48a strong interest in providing a very educational and informative experience including a lot
00:54of artifacts, interactive exhibits and art installations.
01:02Weedmaps brought us on to help them see their vision to life.
01:05We had a tremendous team with hundreds of various people from archival producers to content creators
01:11to physical builders.
01:13We had the opportunity to work with activists and museums which helped us gather all thousands
01:19of artifacts and really get the curation to this museum to bring it to life.
01:28Cannabis education is very important for several reasons.
01:31Knowing the history of cannabis and where it came from and where we're going with it is
01:36important to know the laws and the regulations globally because they're ever-changing.
01:41It's important that we're destigmatizing the plant and just really educating about the uses
01:46of it.
01:47There was a lot of propaganda that happened in the early thirties that put a negative slant
01:52on the plant even though it's been used for thousands of years.
01:55And now people are becoming more educated and learning that it's actually a medicine and
02:00can actually help people.
02:01So it's important to know how it's being used and how it can be used.
