00:00How is the UNHCR adapting its operations in Eastern DRC, where conflict, mass displacement
00:08and the Ebola outbreak are all overlapping each other? It's a complex situation.
00:14You've said exactly the key risks that we're dealing with here on the ground. And I have to
00:19say, first and foremost, it's addressing things one community at a time. So today, my colleagues
00:24in the town of Bunia were out in an IDP site, so internally displaced people, just outside
00:31about 10 minutes outside of the city. They were sharing the cartoon version of the prevention
00:37methods. And then with the local committee that we've helped support in that site for
00:43the last three years, they were also providing masks, providing soap, providing handwashing
00:49stations so that at the entrance to the camp, there can be preventative measures in place.
00:54It's a big situation, but it's a situation that will be dealt with one household at a time.
01:00And so we're really trying to do our part, particularly with those who are being forced to flee conflict,
01:06to make sure that they have the tools, they have the understanding to be able to take the
01:11measures necessary when symptoms emerge.
