00:00Mayor Bass has announced all these watch parties, the World Cup, and different L.A. parks.
00:05One of them is MacArthur Park.
00:07Do you think it's a good idea that people go to MacArthur Park to watch the World Cup?
00:10Not necessarily, honestly.
00:12It's not a safe park.
00:13I think it's a great idea, anything to engage the community.
00:16I think MacArthur Park is really big.
00:18I think there are areas that could be considered safe.
00:22I understand what they're trying to do with, you know, trying to, like, freshen things up the park.
00:27But being born and raised in L.A., it's something my mom told me to never go around to.
00:32If MacArthur Park is not cleaned up, they went out there and cleaned it up the other day.
00:37And basically, you were out there today and you saw that it wasn't cleaned up.
00:42It's not a safe park.
00:43So, no, I don't think it would be a good idea.
00:47I haven't spent time there recently.
00:49I think the idea of trying to bring people outside in person to commune and enjoy something is a great
00:56idea.
00:57I would assume, you know, if they could spend some money to offer some support to the homeless people
01:03and the people who walk rides in those areas, that would be great.
01:06Well, MacArthur Park is really dicey.
01:08It's not really safe.
01:09And then to have watch parties in this town, I don't think you're going to have the kind of gathering
01:14that you're looking for.
01:15It'll just be probably a mess with issues and drinking and that kind of thing.
01:19So, yeah, I think the idea of everybody watching sports together outside is great.
01:24I do think that they just need to ensure that all the areas are safe, but not just for the
01:29World Cup, just Monday through Monday.
01:32I do think that they're safe, but not just for the world.
01:32I do think that they're safe.
01:32I do think that they're safe.
