00:00If you thought season one of The Miniature Wife was wild, season two could make it look like a warm
00:04-up act.
00:05Season one followed Les and Lindy Liljohn, a couple whose already crumbling marriage,
00:10got a whole lot more complicated when Lindy was accidentally exposed to Les's miniaturizing formula.
00:17Suddenly she is six inches tall.
00:19Les has a 30-day deadline to finish his research before funding disappears,
00:24and the whole season becomes this chaotic blend of sci-fi weirdness, dollhouse fights with actual flies,
00:32and the messy emotional reality of a broken marriage.
00:35By the finale, most storylines wrap up surprisingly neatly, but one subplot gets left wide open.
00:41A reporter named Mills spent the entire season digging into Les's research.
00:46When he got too close to the truth, Vivian, Hilton's fiercely protective head scientist,
00:51shrunk him, and locked him inside a terrarium.
00:54While Les and the other miniaturized victims eventually reversed the process, Nils got zero help.
01:00He escapes on his own, only to run straight into Vivian again in the real world.
01:05Since Nils is essentially the last living proof that the technology works,
01:08he becomes the biggest loose thread heading into a potential season two.
01:12No season two has been greenlit yet, so nothing is confirmed.
01:16Matthew McFadden and Elizabeth Banks both receive fairly complete arcs,
01:20as Les and Lindy, so their return depends entirely on which direction the story goes.
01:27Zoe Lister-Jones as Vivian, however, seems almost certain to return.
01:33She ends the season holding Nils captive, and that screams unfinished business.
01:39O.T., Thagbenle, Rongfu, Sian Clifford, and Sofia Rosinski could all realistically reappear
01:47depending on how the story expands.
01:49The miniaturizing technology was never just a cool sci-fi concept.
01:53It was a metaphor for the power imbalance inside Les and Lindy's marriage.
01:57Feeling six inches tall is a pretty literal way to show what it feels like to be diminished by
02:02someone you love.
02:04Les destroyed his lab, but Nils' existence leaves the door wide open for someone, most likely Vivian.
02:10To reverse engineer, or even duplicate the formula, the shrinking element is almost
02:15certainly staying central to the story.
02:18As for timing, if season one performs well, a season two could potentially arrive around 2028.
