00:02I think we've been proud from season one where we were doing a kind of more of a case in
00:08the past
00:08to be able to do a season where a case is unfolding in front of us, you know, kind of
00:13a hot case, a live case
00:15and it just has so happened that when the show was being written 18 months ago
00:20these ideas were also being brought into the public space for discussion
00:26I think we're quite proud that we are reflecting issues that are difficult to discuss
00:32and have grey areas that are not just polarising issues
00:36and to try to look at the human beings in the centre of those issues
00:40as opposed to just talk about the idea
00:44so yeah, I think it is important that we do it
00:46but it's amazing how it's all kind of come together
00:49it just kind of turned out that way, which is crazy
00:53and police shows are in a very unique position
00:55because they're able to deal with things that are happening in the real world
00:59while also supplying, you know, SWAT teams and jumping over bonnets
01:04and car chasers and all this stuff that audiences love
01:07but I think we're all very pleased to be able to do a show
01:11in which we can hear people expressing their anxieties about the real world
01:17and also recognising that there are people who are trying to fix it
01:21I think if you're trying to make mature drama you have to reflect the world
01:24and it is a frightening and strange place
01:29and I think it's comforting for people to hear
01:33to see that disgust in the form of drama
01:39by need
01:41I don't think he's corrupt
01:43I don't think he's corrupt
01:45but I also think he has a longer
01:48what he sees is longer and deeper than now
01:58he's connected to a deeper understanding of humanity
02:03and he knows, he's seen the worst of humanity
02:06and he's seen the best of it
02:09and he's trying to make his way through that
02:12I mean I think we probably particularly have
02:15we've always had an interest in making and watching crime drama
02:20and of course our show's set in a city
02:22which always helps with crime drama
02:24but I think it's just an amazing time for television in general
02:28I mean we're so proud to work with Apple to make this show
02:31because they have such a tranche of different shows
02:34to be watched by all kinds of people
02:36and so it's nice just to be part of that
02:39and hopefully like all these amazing shows that are being made
02:41are inspiring each other to make more shows
02:44so yeah we're certainly really happy that the whole world has loved this show
