00:07starting early next year, according to CNBC. The carrier had been evaluating Starlink and
00:13Amazon Leo as recently as March. A spokesman said the airline has no immediate plans to
00:19switch providers on its Boeing fleet, which currently uses Viasat and Panasonic.
00:24American began offering free in-flight Wi-Fi to frequent flyer members in January,
00:30joining United, Delta, and others. Delta has chosen Amazon Leo for hundreds of jets starting in 2028,
00:37while United, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines have selected Starlink. Airlines are upgrading
00:43in-flight internet speeds and exploring personalized advertising as they compete for higher spending
00:48customers. SpaceX, Starlink's parent, is preparing for an IPO next month.
