A court heard more than one hundred people at Solihull Heights were left without recommended fire protection. Avamore pleaded guilty to failing to comply with an improvement notice, with sentencing due next month.

00:06block of flats. Birmingham Magistrates Court heard Avamor had been ordered to install a
00:11National Fire Chiefs Council L5 fire alarm system at Solihull Heights on Coventry Road.
00:18Prosecutors said Block A was home to about 160 people and the work should have been completed
00:24by November. The court was told no evidence of the installation had been produced by the deadline.
00:31Avamor's defence said the company admitted failures, showed remorse and did not blatantly
00:36disregard the notice. The court heard the work has now been completed. Sentencing is due on June 18th.
