00:13Wandsworth Council rejected the 110-home scheme last year, saying it failed to meet local needs and planning policy.
00:22The developer, Rockwell, appealed to the planning inspectorate,
00:25arguing that the local plan was out of date and should not prevent tall buildings being constructed.
00:31But Inspector Joanna Gilbert dismissed the appeal, saying the scheme was around five times taller than recommended height
00:39and would appear alien and isolated, so the appeal was dismissed outright.
