00:00This morning, just before 7am, we were called to a fire at a property on Golders Green Road.
00:0815 fire engines and around 100 firefighters have been tackling the fire at its height,
00:13which has affected a ground floor shop and a storage area to the rear, which has partially collapsed.
00:20Residents from the flats above and surrounding properties have been safely evacuated as a precaution
00:25and a res centre has been set up nearby. Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries.
00:33The fire has been producing a significant amount of smoke and we continue to advise people in the area
00:38to keep their windows and doors shut at this time, whilst firefighters work to fully extinguish the fire.
00:46Our specialist fire investigators, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Service,
00:52have worked at pace to establish that the circumstances of the fire are not believed to be suspicious at this
00:58time
00:59and investigations into the cause and origin of the fire are ongoing.
